RDP & CLA to Acquire GlamisDunes.com

Can you please save and back up my "Transaxle Thread" before you do any updates? I have a lot of time invested into that one. Thanks.

    California Auto Purchase

CA sales tax is waived for buyers outside of CA (I assume to help entice out of state buyers to purchase items from CA, improving out economy?). As long as you can prove it was shipped and delivered outside of CA (shipping documents, BOL, etc., sales tax is waived.

Freak accident doesn't even begin to describe it

Short story, A few years back, we were testing the class 10 car in Barstow. Stopped off at In-N-Out in Lenwood before heading home in the early evening. Boss had the car on a flatbed trailer towing with his Sportsmobile E350 van. We had all driven off to head home ahead of him while he stopped...

USC Student Kills Homeless Man - Claims Self Defense

https://www.toacorn.com/articles/oak-park-man-accused-of-murder-may-have-acted-in-self-defense/ This was about 13 years ago. Short story that I heard goes that Bikram (Bik) was having an argument with his girlfriend at their apartment. A bystander approached them and somehow intervened, wanting...

    RZR Tranny

Changing the oil frequently in the trans or diff won't necessarily keep a catastrophic failure from happening, but it will show you that a failure is imminent by the metal that collects on the drain plug magnet. That is where you will save some money by fixing the issue before it fails and ruins...

    RZR Tranny

Lots of options for rebuild services out there, including mine. Weddle only offers a full "race prep" service at this time, which is everything we can do to make these reliable and last as long as possible. Might be a little more than what you are looking for, but give me a ring if interested...

    The zombie apocalypse is coming.

Here's a question about the photographer taking the video... KCAL mentioned this morning that 911 had not been called about this situation until a few hours after this had been happening. Can the videographer be held accountable for the motorcycle rider taking the fall? The videographer...

    Stupid Stuff I did as a Teenager……..

I drove a crane truck around LA when I was 22-23. It was an early 90's GMC Top Kick with a 427 gas motor. The exhaust exit was right behind the cab, under the flatbed. You could wood it to 5000 then let off and it would backfire like a MFer! The echo chamber under the bed sounded like a 12g...

    Speed- Another Irritated Customer

Sure, but the customer will pay me directly for any work we do on them outside of handling it through Speed. Any warranty issues need to be dealt directly with Speed.

    Speed- Another Irritated Customer

Re: Transmissions The agreement between Speed and Weddle is that any transmission/front diff work will be shipped to Weddle (me), whether that is to fix broken units, or service/freshen up units that might be a little tired or between races. Since Robby has mentioned our involvement more than...

    Speed- Another Irritated Customer

Gen 2 trans got delivered just after the first 10 production cars were delivered. Remember Speed replaced the Gen 1 transmissions in all of those cars after the failures at KOH. I don't know what broke yet. Only chatted with customers over the phone about it.

    Speed- Another Irritated Customer

Trans failures... I have 2 confirmed trans failures via direct phone calls with customers. Nick from Chupacabra broke one after about 1500 miles, and another customer up north that said he ran his car somewhat hard. I have not seen either of them yet, I don't know if they are Gen 1 or Gen 2...

    Rzr 4wd wont engage

There could be a few issues causing this. The 4wd engagement is in the front diff. An electrical charge to the diff charges a magnet built into the side cover which then creates "friction" with a drive plate against the magnet, forcing a roller and cage assembly to drive the front axles (very...

Ft Lauderdale FL things to do

I'll be there next month as well. In-laws inherited a condo on the strip between the waterway and beach. Went last year but didn't get out much as wife was pregnant. What are the top 3 restaurants and top 3 bars to hit? We did Baucampers on the waterway last year, it was ok for a big...

    Wildcat Event

Wont tell you much other than what "debris" they find in the oil. Typically heavy metals from bearings and gears that are getting worn off. The more debris there is, the more wear there will be on bearings/gears. Unfortunately there is no warning for when these things let go. There is no...

    Wildcat Event

Someone should have taken home a $250 Weddle gift certificate at this event. Hopefully they put it to good use. We finally have some Weddle trans gears (0817-052) finished up and in transit, I should have them next week, but probably won't put my hands on them until I get back from the Mint 400.

    “Julious”- 2023 Polaris Turbo R 4

We recently made some HD drive plates for those front diffs to replace the cheesy thin stamped steel plates that twist and break. That Spool is good for crawling, but turns like a dump truck in the desert/sand. Trans is still subject to the common gear and bearing failures on the earlier...
