I tend to think more globally then locally.. meaning it’s my intention to grow it into a large Offroad site, not just Glamis only..

If rdp was that way it would be Parker only.. we stretch coast to coast here. I’d like it to be the same way there!

Was a member over there under a different screen name before the crash and re joined in 2022 when I was thinking we’d start going to glamis with the new RZR. Asked a question on the SXS sub forum about paddles for my SXS the question has gone unanswered for about a year.

Won't brag, but I have been around since the earliest of days, never a moderator, only a member. Many of my family friends came from gd.com. I live in glamis during the season, so it was always a good back-drop. Has it declined, well yes it has, but I'm certain that RDP will bring that spice back!

Congrats, looking forward to some fresh blood.

As far as I know I’m Banned for Life! So unless they change that I probably won’t/can’t join. Dave did not respond to my post asking, so don’t know? As far as Speed info is concerned, I would not participate on GD, as that’s been a shit show and I’m betting it’s not changed. Just like RDC. I won’t post on there anymore either. Funny you say my tech was good, yet you were the king of trolls on GD. Plus why post there when I can post on a dedicated forum of Speed enthusiasts, plus I post on the RDP Speed forum once in awhile too. BTW I do enjoy talking about other things more than just Speed, which is why I have enjoyed RDP.

But either way I’m glad to see new ownership of GD.com and hope Dave & Co. can build it back up to be good again.

We will be working to bring the balance of SxS and Buggy enthusiasts. Engagement will increase shortly as we get some industry people participating as well as enthusiasts.

I consider your information to be a pretty big asset to this forum. I find it weird you got banned over there?

I’m kinda getting the lay of the land over there right now and it seems like they have a very different style of dealing with things then I have..

No you won’t be banned after I get the software changed over.. and apparently I gotta have a talk with the mod squad over there because they just banned a guy for saying the word good.. (no shit)

Yes please I have been on there for over 20 years and been warned a few times over stupid stuff.Some just hate a person and will ban them for any reason they can.

Been on many sites of different hobbies and never been warned over anything.

Can’t wait to see what you do with the site.

I hope the format change when you move it over is enough different that it feels new.

I had so many threads, so much information and history posted there once I start looking around and realize everything that was lost it looses its appeal to me.

The old buggy pictures, the amount of tech, the personal stories and the lost duners memories.

You could see the evolution of SxS’s from Golf Cart to Rhino to RZR.

One of my favorites was the transaxle tech and evolution from 091, 2D, Hewlands, Fortin, Megasand, Weddle, Feilds Auto, etc. (obviously not in order).

Saychez316 was cool dude that I corresponded with. He was supposed to come to my house in Missouri but he got sick.
I would go back sometimes and read his posts. He posted whatever he thought and many times it was epic.
Super down to earth guy. All that is lost.

There were many more like him.

I just read that Wrench Wench Nikki died two years ago. I pmed her back and forth many times sharing “the rest of the story” that wasn’t posted.

Watched many members post their stories about health and family and then read the post made my someone else informing us about their death.

If the truth was told I took a lot of comfort from the memories made there but maybe more comfort going back and reading and remembering the times.

Being from Missouri but making friends out west through GD.com was great especially getting prepared to go to Glamis and the help I received from so many.

As I mentioned before I bought several sand cars sight unseen and had full confidence because of the interaction and accountability on the site and by its members.

I had 8,000 posts and none of them were from post whoring and a majority were tech related. All gone……RIP old GD.com

I have high hopes for what is to come. I love the genuineness that can be seem in forums that cannot be seen on other forms of social media.

I look forward to @RiverDave ’s personality infusion in the moderating and overall direction of the site.

Dave, there's a whole bunch of history with that particular member and a lot of it is not so "good"...

I've been a part of both GD and RDP for many moons now, and I'm stoked about Dave's plans for GD. It should be a great comeback. 👍🏼
