I’m going with the old man Tomac. When he came back and gave Jett a run for his money, Eli wasn’t even 100% yet. Now that he’s gotten more time to heal up fully, I see him taking the championship. So long as he stays healthy.
Spot on. The warrior does not have a say as to where or when they will fight, just that they will fight. Love your references. Along the same lines as the Christmas Truce in WW1 or the tobacco/coffee exchanges between the north and south in the civil war.
Honestly, I highly recommend watching the video in its entirety for two particular reasons. First being how ruthless war is and we should be thankful we do not have it here… yet. Second is how two warriors were able to see the humanity in the situation that they both were in. Fought to the end...
I’ve worked with team dudes for my entire career. A lot of this does not add up. A 19 year 18Z has the basic knowledge to rig up a device better than the teenage firework show mixed with various fuels that were used. Couple that with a flashy desert eagle and an AR pistol? Not a chance. Body was...
Looks to be a proximity burst. Probably hit some hydro lines in the tail section creating the unrecoverable nose down attitude. Trim would’ve been knocked out which would have assisted in compensating. Helluva job regardless.
It’s spring time guys, which calls for better flying weather. Squadrons get behind on their flying hour programs during the winter months and need to catch back up. Red Flag is currently going on at Nellis. There’s an AR track on the California side of the lake that is constantly used. There’s...
We picked up a Keystone Carbon 358 this last spring. Typical things like trim coming undone due to the small staples that are used, but nothing significant. Probably the best purchase we have made considering we are at numerous MX tracks over the weekends with the boy. Simi RV always has killer...
Agreed. Albeit O-Plans (without getting into classified stuff) have had little change over the years. And with our 5th gen capes I’m curious as to how we would be able to fully operate in a GPS denied environment. In my opinion that’s where the Vipers and Strike eagles will come out an play...
The dilemma that RF had was “do they want to develop fighter pilots or missile truck drivers?” They chose the former by restricting the BVR engagements. However, in a head to head fight, the 35 will beat the 16 almost every time. Due mostly to their sensors, data link, etc.
What a lot of people...
Another not so mentioned program would be Sikorsky and their hissy fit over the contract with Boeing for the newest Combat Rescue Helicopter (CRH), as well as cost overruns and weapons issues. We would be much better off with Boeings HH-47. But I’m not salty.
Albeit true during OIF/OEF, our RPA program is shrinking exponentially. Leadership is seeing first hand the value of manned aircraft and the training it takes to operate them in their fullest capacities since the Ukraine/Russia conflict popped off.
The acquisition process for the DoD is fucked...
Just to your last bit sir, outdated is a misnomer. Our aircraft go through constant block upgrades to stay relevant. Realistically all we truly need to accomplish, and are doing well at it, is staying ahead of our near peer adversaries.
