Opening shot in a HIH video is a Nordic Heat.... For 200 boats in attendance, only 2.5 second shot of 1 - vector on the dock. The main dock and both sides of the channel were packed. That one drone shot isn't even over the party, it looked like it was pointing at the gas dock?!? And the running shots the same 4-5 boats for a few seconds.


I've been lookin' forward to the DOCK critique. The Eliminator regatta had a field day in here with how the boats were tied up, random shit lines everywhere. Everyone of us had bumpers out and ropes coiled!

Well they are video editors not boat enthusiasts.. lol. I didn’t want to waste the extra time to take it down and re edit and re upload etc

Cut the Nordic guy some slack...... You know he's just trying to hang out with the cool crowd.... They have been trying to join HIH for years...

We'd have to hire two or three media groups to really capture HIH... Too many boats and not enough time to be everywhere at once..

I do appreciate the boating content. Producing these videos too, I know it takes time. I think the anticipation, set some high expectations. It was built up before the event, extra shooters in the air, on water, etc. etc.


The Fast Loud video was pretty sweet. I thought there would be more coverage in this video when it hit. We were watching the crews the whole weekend. ......

I love HIH and the video. Music really works. Hated to point out the fly in the ointment, but it was hard to miss. We can't wait for HIH 2023. Thanks @RiverDave and @Hammer Always a great time!

I’m sure there is more footage floating around. I’m already looking to have a dedicated videographer/editor this year. If I could hand out 30 go pros and get them back we could have an awesome video. Like everything else it takes more money.

We have hours of footage of just about any event.. it’s hard to pick and choose what to cut into a three minute video

plenty with paid event registration, six people in attendance for the banquet, and t-shirts, etc. Wasn't that cheap of a weekend . I've seen better regatta edits IMO, but a moot point. Dave already addressed it. New editor, and not a boating enthusiast, and mountain of content to whittle down to 2mins. It is a fun video otherwise. Already looking forward to HIH 23'.

well we have all season and as HIH approaches we will make some other edits as well.

i will continue to push for a 270 build..............like to see balsa bottom...........big hp, ballast tank,
wave crushing, havasu north channel , mead crushing beast...........know your customer

ballast tanks arent only for ski racing........id want one in my v.............why would you not? add weight to the keel in the rough? displace when not?
surprised we dont add as an option on the bigger v's

I wish they had interest in building a new 270, but from my recent conversations it doesn't sound like they do.

i'd love building one, one of my favs, not even being a homer....i think if you have the molds, build them all to your best ability

we had a sold one about 6-9 mon ago, but got pushed into a 275........

They need to stop trying to reinvent the wheel. Hallett buyers are not Nordic buyers.
