Correct. When NA the Runners are too long for big horsepower. Regardless of Inches It’s done at about 600-625 HP, which coincidentally seems to happens at about 5400 RPM. Stock 525’s dyno at 540. Torque is really nice though.
One benefit of tuning is raising the rev limiter to 5800. Power...
For what it’s worth, I dated a producer for a bit a couple years ago. she rubbed elbows with a lot of big names and had dated John Mayer and Joseph Gordon Levitt (how she ended up my girlfriend I have no idea, maybe cause she was not an LA native)
She had dinner with Kanye in a group setting...
Exactly. When water flow gets marginal on heat exchanger motors one header will get hot first. Almost always.
The single stage Hardin pumps on the viper motors don’t work that great. You have a water pressure issue. Check the pump first.
I think that cam will work alright for a 555. Iron heads might limit your top end. Call it 675. Youll be able to get away with cheap fuel with that low compression Youll need good hydraulic lifters (johnson)
The LSA is a bit much.. that favors big RPM horsepower and you will lose power...
While I produced this video and changed an engine that weekend, this was Paul Whittier driving. He is one of the best drivers in the game. I learned a lot about driving a cat on the limit from watching unedited onboards of him.
This video never got as many views but the cat and mouse driving...
unless you are going to change the heads, and maybe intake, carb and spin more RPM (make more horsepower)..... Keep it flat tappet just go a little bigger for fun
That being said you could find some used GM iron heads that are way better than the peanuts for cheap... just magnaflux them to...
speaking from experience:
you need to go up 2 inches. Your current propshaft height was intended for cruising with a heavy load. Trade that standard length sportmaster for a 2" shorter sportmaster or IMCO. IMCO is a little faster, sportmaster has a better skeg and more water pickup.

just use the edelbrock marine 310's... if you are keeping the stock intake going bigger or more expensive on heads wont do much with the stock intake runner length. Use a monoblade 525 style throttle body like the AZ Speed one.
I also vote holley EFI rather than messing with the MEFI 3
if there are no alarms or buzzers going off and it wont get on plane I would be inclined to think it is substantially down on fuel pressure under load. could be a bad or clogged high pressure pump in the cool fuel unit
I would do a red bottom or grey bottom over a white bottom. Think dustin whipples SV43 outerlimits with the red bottom. If the boat had a black or white bottom it wouldnt have been nearly as good looking.
Otherwise you have a lot of good top gel options drawn up. That just comes down to...
A deadhead carburetor regulator will do the trick. If you have one it might be malfunctioning … the aero motive ones work good. Old style chrome Holley ones have had some QC issues last 5 years
What’s the config? EFI? Single or dual tanks?
You can work around returning to the tank by returning to the INLET side of the fuel filter head through a fuel cooler. Return to tank is still best.
