This is going on with Mopars right now. We recovered a newer Gladiator that was stolen along with 6 other vehicles from a CDJR dealer in the valley. Same story, gone in 60 seconds using a key radio freq duplicator.
The lubribond doesn't need sanding it dries very thin and evenly... I would give the cheap one a shot, might as well. Lubribond isnt magic, it gets rubbed off by trailer bunks or debris in the water fairly easily
My solution for my 6 and 7 year old girls in Ventura County is conservative private Christian school. You have to find one with a STRONG CONSERVATIVE statement of faith you need to sign as a family to attend. There are many private schools that are not better than the public alphabet soup...

You will need to run both the drive pickup AND an extra through hull pickup to a dual inlet one outlet sea strainer to supply your new latham pump with sufficient water.
Desired pressure matters where you measure it. Right off the pump at the inlet to an oil cooler like on a mercury racing...
305 as cast or partial CNC or full CNC (I forget what the 305 comes in)
if you end up on the 496 nothing crazy side of that estimate, you should be alright. 540 I would definitely go larger to make the build worth your while.
