Everything you are doing to the fuel system is the list of items required to reliably turn up 700's past their stock configuration. Its also my opinion that the internal quality of Aeromotive pumps have been going downhill for a long time. At this point its plausible they arent even going to...
I think you have 2 issues. The cracked axle mount needs to be addressed but the tire wear is more likely a bent spindle. Since the torsion axle mount is already smoked might be easier to just mount up a whole new assembly
For Sale: Like new condition (I purchased new and have only run them a couple times) pair of Mercury Satin race labbed 15x32 pitch, diffusers shortened to same as a four blade. These are the best 5 blade vee bottom props you can get for all around performance, mid range efficiency, and...
yeah even if the cam profile sucks and your HP has plateau-ed at 4600... getting the right cam in the motor isnt going to bring WOT RPM from 4250 to 5500 if your engines are actually in decent health. I would leak them down before digging into them to make sure that all 16 cylinders are at...
so your current WOT rpm is 4250 at 59 mph?! Obviously you are too tall on prop. To see if the new setup might pull it I need to know:
What did current engine setup make max HP and Torque at what RPM? what did the new setup make?
edit: I reread it more carefully you dont know numbers yet...
Similar but different...
True DTS, the shifting components are under that rear cover on the drive... thus why the steering pins are not all the way out back.
If you are on title of the house you are in the game for the proceeds. You are not entitled to her portion of the down payment or the equity appreciation of whatever that percentage of the down payment was. Don't worry about leaving the house, that's usually an angle they try to take with...
haha Jesel stuff is nice but have broken their aluminum shaft rockers at the trunion bore on the body.... T&D steels are indestructible and they have some trick upgrades that have gone into them over the years for endurance applications
agreed. cheap head and cam swap should net you that 550 torque, just be prepared that the crank and rods are only good for that at most and 5200 RPM.. but that might be all you need in the jet
Comp steel is the best for a stud mount and still reasonable money...
T&D steel shaft rockers are the best money can buy for big pressure and RPM but that will as you say break the bank
you know Ive caught two different supercharged engines totally lose oil pressure at speed from broken drive shafts: one at 6000 rpm and the oil pressure was falling down passing 20 psi, by the time I got it off plane and shut down zero pressure... no engine damage. The other was running at...
Yeah that material is not a bronze gear going away. As the teeth wear it’s teeny tiny little shavings. You’ll just notice the timing retarding itself. When the teeth get too thin the oil pump load will cause the cam to blow a few of them off in one spot and the distributor will stop turning and...
The fact that its not rod knocking and its also not able to make oil pressure makes me bet main bearing, maybe even broken crank at a main journal.
Also, if you ever have debris in your pan and you pull the motor to diagnose, drop the pan prior to flipping the motor over.... pro tip.
Not saying it was or wasn't the pothole, but insurance covers stupidity. EX: "I forgot my drainplug and my boat sank" is covered. Its not considered grossly negligent or reckless operation.
Remember that Max 5 and Maximus are completely different props. They are based on the same casing but the blades are cut very differently. I believe Max 5 is what Howard is using and they are an excellent catamaran propeller. Worth the upcharge.
