It like the old saying goes, "a .380 in the boot is better than a .45 at home anyday". I would and do carry a .380. If I have to use it, it will be enough. I don't care if they are on meth or crack or whatever. If I put 8 in them, they will be down.
We take our great danes boating. All I do is put a towl on the back seat and make sure that the wife has trimmed thier nails recently. Never had a problem. They also wear life vests, just incase.
