Looks like he had an LCP or Keltech 380. Not surprised he could not hit the guys. Those little guns are not easy to shoot without tons of practice. Pretty funny how the tough guys start falling all over themselves to get the fuck out :skull

Awesome story, thanks for sharing. .380 is a crappy round. He probably did hit his target once or twice, but the perpetrator running on adrenaline, could still have the ability to get away.

Wow, just realized that this happened a few weeks ago. Our liberal media is a total failure. They did a good job of keeping this quiet:thumbsdown

If the robbers were high on Meth or blow they no doubt could run on fumes for a spell longer after getting stitched.

A 380 is plenty. I would however (and do;)) load it with fragmenting ammo which has a higher probability of a kill :skull
The wife loves those "Forensic Files" type shows and it surprised me how many people are shot and KILLED with 22 cal guns;)

Ive seen both 380's and 9 's bounce of car windshields in junkyards. (try it yourself if you doubt it),

I sure as hell wouldnt want to get shot by anything 22, 9, 380 or other - but Ichoose differently for my carry piece.

I carry a 357 revolver. The undisputed king of the one shot stop having been documented in decades of police work.

Its a very versatile weapon you practice with dirt cheap 38's and have ZERO chance of a stovepipe jam or extraction problem when the SHTF.

IMO carrying a 380 100 % of the time is better than carring a 45 50% of the time.

True but it doesn't quite make sense to those of us who carry a 45 100% of the time.%

Totally cool video though. I saw the blurbs when it first happened but didn't see the full video until now. One if the big differences is I bet that guy was probably in Korea or another war and had to do what he had to do. Guys like that you don't mess with.

Son of a beoch...... that means the lawsuits against gramps are coming from the dirt bag...... :thumbsdown:thumbsdown

No charges were filed against gramps, he was able to use the "stand your ground" law, he thought his life was in danger so he took the appropriate actions :thumbsup

Yes, but unfortunately I don't think that can stop a civil suit. I'd be more worried about a gang retaliation. I wish the report would leave out the guy's last name. Too easy to find an old guy like that. He's probably been in the same place for 30 years.

It like the old saying goes, "a .380 in the boot is better than a .45 at home anyday". I would and do carry a .380. If I have to use it, it will be enough. I don't care if they are on meth or crack or whatever. If I put 8 in them, they will be down.
