Never seen this version.

I dig this song. What, nobody else flopped around drunk for a few years for the same reasons. That was just me????

If these guys roll through your town check them out...ask http404 what he thought about them

Fat Mike from NOFX used to play with them, but he has been replaced by CJ Ramone from the Ramones

I have one of their older albums and could swear they played a warpt tour I was at long ago. It’s the album with leaving on a jet plane. Great stuff

http404 - the DJ at the Gimmies, Gimmies played this one, my daughter and i laughed when we heard it. For those following along, it's a country classic. DARKER than DARK lyrics for an aptly named song. WTH were they thinking in 74?

New limited edition 45. Super cool, but it's not the same as the original and was cut from the 1987 demo, but cool nonetheless.

Finding good deals on OfferUp is mostly about timing. Being on the site at the right time is usually what lands you the item you're interested in.

But sometimes you can research the crap out of everything and find deals.

I saw this Nagaoka cartridge offered in El Paso but it was hard to see the condition of the cartridge. It sat on there for weeks at a great price. Curious, I looked at it again and contacted the seller. She responded "I think it's new, but I don't know anything about stereo equipment." Okay cool, full offer, $150 is a great price. Boom, she shipped it out.

And to my joy - a brand new, unopened cartridge. I paired it with a Turntable Labs branded Technics headshell, and voila! This rig sells all day long for $500 and I scored it for $170.

And it sounds outstanding. Currently listening to Spandau Ballet.

Pat was pretty bad ass back in the day. I remember listening to this one, either on 8-track or cassette, hanging out with friends in a field somewhere, 8-10 of us packed into the 73' Ford LTD sedan, drinking some beers. Always good times.

Where was that, looks like a great venue?

Looks packed!
This is the Country Coastal Jam, a two day event they have every year in Long Beach. The venue is right next to the aquarium, along Shoreline Drive. They estimated over 30,000 people in attendance last night. It was a helluva good time!!

The picture above is looking back from our seats towards the marina and the ocean. The crowds extended back across Shoreline Drive and up and over the big grass hill between Shoreline Drive and the marina.

The picture above is obviously looking towards the stage. When Jason Aldean took the stage, people were packed in like sardines......standing room only!! It's a great venue!!

I'm not into new country but I'm sure that show would be great. Thanks for the heads-up!

So last week I added a 3rd set of monitors. 2 sets on the Yammy MX600 and 1 set on the M-45, and the system sounds pretty decent. I can almost get to the bass I want. But like boat motors, it's hard to beat cubic inches. And I think that's what I need, larger woofers/drivers. The 8" drivers (6 of them) are efficient, but something bigger will probably sound better.

Then I remembered I have this, so I yanked it from my DJ system. A Crown amp good for 305 watts per channel. The amp is in excellent shape, especially considering I bought it in 1994.

This should be fun...
