Okay since it's a weird chick theme, this cover is real catchy...

Soon it will be Jesus and the Mary Chain, followed by the Psychadelic Furs, who I first saw 40-years ago!

We left somewhat early after the Furs came on. I dunno, I wasn't feeling Butler's monotone, craggy voice and lackluster performance. Jesus for the win, but no Hope Sandoval. It was the end of their tour...in LA...but no such luck. The opening act named Frankie Rose sag the duets.

Earlier this year Brit Floyd sold the place out, but there were plenty of open seats for this one. And once again, the acoustics of YT theater seem off. Vocals and bass are good, but mid ranges and the sound of guitars/keyboards is muddy.

A deal killer was the $50 parking. Never again.

So I went through the tedious task of re-wiring and dampening the tonearm of the 1200. I also updated the stock RCA jacks to some Mogami/Amphenol low capacitance female jacks. That way I can run any interconnect cable I choose, as opposed to being limited to the stock/hardwired original RCA's.

And the result is...huh? Was there supposed to be a noticeable sonic difference? ⁉️

To be fair, many people suggest the stock tonearm and wiring are fine to begin with.

I was at Guitar Center at Christmas time years ago.
They had ONE American-made by Fender Telecaster with Stratocaster features.

I bought it for a savant kid we have in the house that is a phenomenal Guitar player but hasn't a lick of sense otherwise. (Don't fret or sweat an invite, we don't bring him on RDP trips, he doesn't want to come any ways).
Bought a Blackstar AMP too.

So I was getting ready to wrap it to put it under the tree and went out to our storage shed to get wrapping paper.
Took a while, then came back into the house.

The wife was playing a Christmas tune on it like a seasoned rocker.
An amazing, talented player.
