Posted "Jack" before, most incredible breed we've ever had and we've had 14 dogs in 33 years. Looking for another!!!!! Tried the rescues, but the hoops they want you to jump through is a deterrent. Jack lives the life of a king. Now he needs a GSP buddy to hunt with.

Man, jump through the hoops, itll be worth it. They make it hard for a reason, too many people take easy animals and they end up in the pound and euthanized. They make it hard to weed out the idiots and make sure they have the best chance at a great forever home. Good luck with your search!

Brought the dog to play with her brother and swim for the day. He is from the first litter. 30 lbs heavier. 20 lbs heavier than his Dad. She still dominates him. He could care less. Spent the morning at the other property with the parents. They are all shedding and needing to be groomed daily.

Long story short I found this guy in a Milo field that I was discing up at night. Bunch of coyotes around and I wasn’t in that desolate of a field so it was odd. Stopped the tractor got out and found a set of pups and the mom. Went to get the truck so I could take to the shop nearby and couldn’t find them. Mom must of moved them. Came back in am and they had moved back to the spot I had seen them last. Took them to the shop raised them until old enough to give away. I kept one named him Milo. Kept the mom got her fixxed and she’s the shop dog. Milo spoiled me didn’t have to teach him anything spoiled me for sure. Never chewed and just came potty trained??? Idk how. He went everywhere best dog all around. Went to work everyday with me and was not happy to be left behind! Lol everyone would always ask me what breed he was so I would tell them he’s an Italian rock hound he was indeed a mutt but those make the best dogs

Few more pics….pups were easy to raise. Making sure they didn’t get in the way of any equipment was the hardest part they just stayed around this little fort we made and they were happy as can be. When I found them their eyes were still closed, estimated they were a couple days old.

Pup turned two this month. He was a handful the first 6 mos. He’s a different dog being fixed and 2yrs old. Still has to get a morning walk and an after dinner blast to get the energy out.

4 dogs in the truck for a 1200mi road trip to the PNW. Was a bit afraid I would be covered in puke and poop, but everyone did fantastic considering 3 dogs had never really been in the vehicle before. Momma threw up all over the back seat before we even hit Elsinore, but no issues after that. Mom and dad are loving the grand-dog time. Everyone is getting 2-3 miles of walk distance daily. My cousin and his wife adopted the brown female pup, so it will be a 3 dog ride back to SoCal.

This is Dino. A few weeks ago, we found him outside the station one morning. He started throwing up and getting lethargic as the day went on. We took him to the Humane society and they diagnosed him with parvo. We got him the meds, gave him a few IVs, and the Humane Society hooked us up with a bunch of supplies. He’s doing great now. One of the guys is going to “adopt him” because apparently we aren’t allowed a station dog.

Update on Dino…. The news of our little buddy spread pretty quick through the department. One of our Assistant Chiefs heard about him and came up with a plan. He’s gonna end up with a job within the department, maybe part of C.O.A.S.T. (community outreach and support team), search and rescue, arson? Time will tell!!
