Don't discount the dog you could get from a shelter we got this guy in March of 21 from VVAPL https://www.vvapl.org/
He had some separation anxiety when we got him but he's now the most chill GSD you'll ever find.

The dog we just lost was from the shelter.
We want a puppy and getting a puppy from a shelter is always a surprise what it ends up being when it grows up lol.

Kinda want to know what we are getting into.
Not against a shelter dog we are watching them Dailey incase something pops up.

Not sure where you live but pet harbor lets you set parameters of how far you are willing to go and the type of dog you want.

I was in the states for a few days and my brother babysat Bella. He got her a nylon bone. They are bad for dogs and I took it away as soon as I got home. Brother did snap this pic:

Well, here's Remington, a boy........ Was a rescue, he has daily goals, eat, play ball, sleep, play ball, play ball. Most mellow dog, we took him to an outdoor restaurant the day after we picked him up. Laid down next to the table and didn't move until we got up to go. Not a bad habit whatsoever. We've had him 5 years. Loves to ride in the car, an hour, OK, 8 hours OK. Great family dog.
This is our second rescue and both have been amazing animals. I truly believe they know.

Nice, we call our Remi....we adopted her and her name from the shelter was Roxy, but seems like every other dog we know is named Roxy so we changed it....she was only 6mo old when we got her so it wasnt a big deal to change...ours is very well behaved as well, but is VERY protective of my wife and son...we always laugh, because she technically my dog and she loves me to death but she doesn't seem at all protective over me...but with my wife and son, she watches them like a hawk

Pup has a new favorite toy. Bought him one of those police dog trainers off of Amazon. He gets one last burst of energy at 7ish. We wrestle for 10-15 mins, i give up and he runs around with it for awhile and then he’s toast. Best $45 I’ve spent.

By far the dumbest and funnest dog I've ever had.

Here she thinks she can take on a skunk. Stunk for a couple weeks! 🤣

We once had a wolf/shepherd hybrid that tangled with a skunk. She came through the door, and it didn’t take but a split second to realize she’d been sprayed. We had heard tomato juice would help, so we bathed her with it in a kids’ pool. It didn’t help a bit, but she did come out a lovely shade of pink.

Got any recent shots of your "Tank" you want to share?

I kind of forgot about posting some up. Tank is just under a year old and growing fast. Akita’s will continue to grow up until 18 months or more. Then after that, they start to put the muscle on. He’s 90 some lbs now and has a long way to go. He is also the sweetest pup. Loves people and other dogs

Hard to believe, today, May 27, marks 9 years since we had to put down our beautiful Newfoundland, Sadie. She was a true Desert Diva and known by a few on here. She was 12 1/2. That's a good run for a Newf. But, wish we could have enjoyed another 12 1/2 yrs with her. IMG_2136.PNG IMG_2160.JPG

Heck yeah, if you’re a dog person, you never forget them. We had to put down our Ridgeback, Sammi Jo (she was a blonde beauty, just like Heather Locklear), the same year. We still talk about her quite often.

Unfortunately, she did like to sniff a butt now and then, but she had a great personality. 😂

That lawn was my neighbor’s at the time (we shared a driveway), but ours looked the same. It’s easy if you’re willing to spend the money and work your butt off. 😊

Hydrangea is huge

I’ll give most of the credit to my wife for the condition of our plantings. My main duties are weeding and adding mulch, as directed. 😉
