We went for a walk in the woods yesterday, as we often do. Rosie is eighteen months old now, and doing pretty well off leash most of the time…… but still has enough puppy in her to make it exciting occasionally.

Anyone have a line on a Cane Corso breeder? Looking for a female puppy 1000-1500 range.

My pup is almost 8 years old now. She was chewing up her blanket, and it looks like she swallowed some.
Had xrays today, stomach is full of something, her intestines are clear.
Hopefully surgery tomorrow.

Rosie is no pain, just chillin and sleeping. How can she sleep like this? LOL

Well, here's Remington, a boy........ Was a rescue, he has daily goals, eat, play ball, sleep, play ball, play ball. Most mellow dog, we took him to an outdoor restaurant the day after we picked him up. Laid down next to the table and didn't move until we got up to go. Not a bad habit whatsoever. We've had him 5 years. Loves to ride in the car, an hour, OK, 8 hours OK. Great family dog.
This is our second rescue and both have been amazing animals. I truly believe they know.

Remy is about 7 years old and started limping. Rear leg, took him to our vet, who referred us to an orthopedic surgeon. He has a torn ACL. Has any one had any experience? Success? Downside?

We just went through this with our dog. She had the surgery in October and she’s back to her normal self now.

Anyone have a recommendation for grain free chicken free dog food. It’s harder to find than you think.
Luna is getting these blisters around her eyes and everyone I talk to say it’s the food. I guess grain and chicken allergies are common

I need grain and chicken free. Almost all dog foods regardless of flavor have chicken fat added in ingredients.
I just looked at the turkey one and it doesn’t so this is on the short list to try.

Got it, then try the grain free beef.
or
the dehydrated food with fish, you just add water. It will be mush vs kibble.

Post the recipe... so when I'm in the dog house I can eat too... that looks a lot better than kibble..
12 bone in chicken thighs , two large heads of broccoli sometimes beef liver or chicken livers , shreeded carrots all the juices (fat and collegen) sometimes cut green beans (unsalted) She cooked the daylights out of it in the instapot , debones the thights and mixes it all together .... Ill see if the wife has it written down somewhere

I like it, would like to know if she puts any vitamins/supplements in there too.

Right now my pups eat 4 cups @ 1700 cal a day. I would be making food every 2 days...lol

Im Looking at the prices of the food you recommend. I’m thinking of making my own after getting sticker shock.

Funny we talked about that part of His diet , He also get a single raw beef bone every morning (6 minutes by a timer he takes to "clean it" , then she takes it away) and a tiny stinky round multi vitimin from Costco Been considering adding something more for nutrition .... Best thing is His Poops are fewer and less bulky so I dont have as many to dodge with the lawn tractor BTW His Teeth are perfect (bones)

Sucks to watch baby dog get old. She turned 9 last month, but cancer has been catching up with her. Enjoying every day, but having my daughter come home from college and say her goodbyes kicked my ass.

She's an amazing dog who has had a full life. Born in Germany and has traveled to Egypt. She didn't like the boy in Egypt or anywhere else for that matter and never had puppies. Been a helluva Auntie and leader of the pack.
