Pledge works great for cleaning up the bottom of fiberglass boats. Pledge actually has wax in it. I know some old school biker guys that use that crap on everything. I would have never guessed by looking at them.

More progress. I need to get new battery cables but I'm almost done in the bilge area.

Thanks for the tip. But I'm going to carpet the entire inside of the boat.

Nothing exciting going on lately. Just wiring. Got the bilge area done though.

We have a baby due within the next 4 weeks so I've been buying baby stuff instead of boat parts. [emoji22][emoji3]

Not much to show. Just endless amounts of wiring. The old owner tried to wire this fuel pump off the ignition switch with no relay and he wondered why it would blow the 25amp fuse. Now it's wired off a Leash Electronics waterproof relay.

Don't forget to change the engine oil and filter before you fire that bad boy. ;-)

lol. I did all new fuel lines, hose clamps. The only engine work I need to do now is change the gear oil, new water pump, starter bendix, and spark plugs.

What color carpet should I go with?

Seats will be white with black and dark blue inserts.

There's no grey anywhere in the boat. Everything is blue and black.
Blue carpet looks dated...IMO....I have blue and want to get rid of it, it gets hot too. Black will be too hot as well.

Plenty of boats have grey carpet with no grey anywhere on the boat.

Grey can pretty much go with anything. Blue will make the boat look old imo

No you gettin all fancy. Lol! Wana come replace all mine and my vacuum lines too? It's just a carbed merc so low pressures and all. Haha!

I think Blue carpet isn't bad at all. As long as it is EVERYWHERE. For example, my boat has it on the floor and all the way up the sides to the gunwale. And it is a bit much I think. If you want to do some carpet on vertical portions, maybe change it up with black or something.

I'm going to carpet the entire floor of the boat. It will have side panels but I want the floors 100% covered.

I can't make up my mind. Black, blue, grey. [emoji12]

I'd second the Grey carpet recommendation but it's your sled so do what YOU want to do. ;) But whichever color you get, keep the updates coming! It helps to motivate some of us slackers!

If you decide on gray, IVe got some I'd sell cheap depending on how many feet you need.

I bought some gray 40 oz for my boat and it only came in a 12' wide roll so I had twice what I needed. If you're interested I can roll it out and measure but I believe it's about 6' wide by 15' long.

I'm headed out for the weekend but can check sun night if you're interested. Shoot me a PM if so.

Thank you! I'm not sure a 6x15 will be enough. But let me know how much you have.

The wife/boss wants grey, so I'll probably end up with that. I want black but my vote doesn't count. lol. I'll have more progress pics today.

I'm digging this build! What speeds will that boat get to with a 2.5?
