Thank you very much! I'll keep the pics coming. Next up will be hydro steering and building seats. Then back to Eddie at Martinez for upholstery, boat cover, and Bimini.

Ended up with this. IMG_3500.jpg

Dash wiring on these boats is a pain.

Looking awesome, great thread to follow along for all of the progress. :cool

I will be starting one of these threads soon as I have a laundry list of things to update/redo on my 25 Daytona.

Got the hatch ram relay wired in. Now I just need the ram. Also ordered stainless steal lines for the trim and jack plate. Those should be here in a week or 2. IMG_3579.jpg

I had to lay in the sponson. Got fiberglass all over my shoulder. I didn't sleep much last night.

:cool

For future reference a good rub down with some baby powder before you get in there will help with this.Ot fills your pores so the glass dust can't.
If you get wet or sweat a lot repeat the rub down during the process.

Grinded the skag smooth, removed 17 layers of paint and sanded smooth. Almost done. New water pump, oil and back on. IMG_3609.jpg

Was the lower coated with anything? I had a lower that was raw, and it turned color as soon as it hit the water. It required constant upkeep.

It was just painted. I'm leaving it raw metal. Most if the ones I see are raw too.

Looking good!! Man I can't wait to get to this point on my bucket!! Hahahahaa!!

Is there going to be a rubber boot or grommet over the opening where the braided lines come through the billet sleeve on the deck?

You'll get there one day. It just take labor and buckets of cash. lol

I hadn't planed on putting a boot on it. I still have steering tubes to run through it. So that should help fill it in a little. I don't really see a need for a boot though. The hole is only 2in b

Tearing down the old seats. The wife said "I don't know why we're doing upholstery they are fine". Um. I think not. IMG_3774.jpg IMG_3775.jpg IMG_3777.jpg

I'm struggling with my seat layout designs. I like these but with black suede where the grey is. IMG_2950.JPG

But I'm also thinking all white. No designs or colors. No piping, all double stitched with these cubby holes with the black and blue nets. And doing the old style =ELIMINATOR= in black and blue in the head rest.

What do you guys think? I can't make up my mind. I'm also going with black carpet and a blue bimini and boat cover with 2 black stripes.

I like the rear pocket idea. If there was any way to make the pocket deep enough to fit a couple cups holders in it instead I think that would be more useful. I'd maybe try to incorporate a little blue and black into the upholstery to tie it all together.

You don't think the blue and black ELIMINATOR and the mesh pockets will be enough color?

When I bought my 21' Cougar, the trailer had the same steel strap set-up yours has to secure the bow eye. While towing, the bow would bounce a lot when hitting even small bumps on the road. I'm wondering if you run into the same thing? My trailer looks almost identical and the boat sits on it exactly like yours does.

Anyone? Bueller

My Formula was ordered from the factory with an all white interior. It's great for comfort as far as hot spots go but when I re-do it I will be adding a little color.
My previous Formula had a little color on the seats in the vertical parts only and it was fine.
I wouldn't do ANY color on the horizontal surfaces. Too hot in the sun.

Honestly, no. The color of the writing gets kinda lost when surrounded by all white. Possibly an all black logo and a blue insert in the seats could work. I wouldn't do a black insert but small black accents could be enough. IMHO.

Yes it does. I put a strap on the bow eye to the trailer.

I prefer to keep it simple. Martinez is doing mine as I type. He just sent me pics of the foam done. Mine is going to have less color than what you're talking. Colors will be in the back of the seat, just no pockets. I hate how stuff collects there and the elastic eventually stretches. I'm also doing the -ELIMINATOR- in the head rest. I like it to look correct for the year of the boat ('94).

Not completely sure yet :eek

Labor Day weekend, Boat was hit while we were floating, so the damage is getting fixed first while I decide. Along with new interior and floors done.

That sucks. Eddie will do a great job. He did my gel and it's going back the beginning of November for interior, boat cover, and bimini.

Yeah, all good. Sucked because I just finished a completely new engine and it only had 20 minutes on it. I was thinking it was time for bigger turbos, then wham.
