Got word the lower is going back together. We will be in Havasu on Thursday to reinstall and prop test. Wish us luck.

The boat goes to Al&Eds Esco on Monday morning to have the sub box made.

They used the money I already paid towards the new one but I still had to buy a new case and gears.

I love boating more and more in this boat. I couldn't be happier. Thank you everyone for all the compliments. It's been a long road but worth every penny.

Sweet!!! Now the fun begins.

What props have you tried so far?

Different boat and bottom than the 21 Daytona but have been running a 26 bravo 1 xs on my 22 Cougar mtr/300xs. Pretty good all around prop. Good holeshot, efficient cruise and good top end. Hitting the rev limiter but just did the dbr upgrade, which reflashes the ecu and increases the rev limiter. Should do better all the way around. But gonna try and test a few props this summer

I am interested in getting the DBR upgrade, how is it? I have a BravoXS 28 that is so so. Also have a BBlades blaster, super fast. I want to try a promax.

Sean how did the props go, which did you like?

Haven't had the chance to run it yet. It's getting a refreshed interior so it will be a few weeks before I can try it. I really want to try the Bblades blaster. I was going to last season but heard they were throwing blades

Bblades had issues with older props throwing blades because they weren't heat treating them. I believe now all their props are heat treated. I ran them on my daytona and had zero problems and they are a good prop.

Dbr kits are good also and ran those. Really noticed it in the low/mid range and woke the boat up. For the money don't think you can go wrong. Even though you can spin the motors more with the kit it's sweet spot still is in the 6300-6400 rpm range, after that based on dyno graphs power starts to fall off so I would base your prop around that rpm max range.

I ran a Ron Hill Signature 26 4 blade. Great hole shot but only 80 on gps on the limiter. I tried a 28 4 blade not as good hole shot but still rolled over easily. It ran 90 on the limiter. I also tried a 28 3 blade and it sucked. This boat like 4 blades.

So I ordered a 26 4 blade for days when I have 4 people and I'm going with a 32 4 blade for speed runs.

I'm running 1.75 gears also.

Now I need to find a new jack plate. Mines about had it and Joe at Havasu Hot Laps thinks the engines too close to the boat. I'm going to pick up a 6" set back Atlas hydraulic jack plate.

I think not all his gears were shot so he ended up staying with 1.72

Wade, I have a 28bravo xs and BBlades 28 you can try. Bblades is pricey though $900, break it you buy it haha I think I'm gonna pick up a hill 26 4 blade for my every day prop and a 30 down the road if I like the 26.

sounds good. i like the Hill props. Walt gave me the 3 blade 28 so i guess i will try that but will get a 4 blade eventually.

I stayed with 1.75 gears because the reverse gear was still good.

The boat cavitates real bad out of the hole with the 3 blade but runs great for all around boating with the Hill 26 4 blade. Joe ordered me one. Kevin at R&R is taking the 3 blade back in trade for a Mazco 4 blade 30.
