That' a cam driven pump. So the shaft won't turn if the motor is not running. My old 1966 Wickens with a blown FE390 and same pump. They work great. Sold this about 3 years ago.

I agree with an earlier post. I think with the pump removed, you can tilt up and under a full, 1-piece board, to the transom.

Not if he enjoys doing it. I was always being told "fuck that" a lot, on all of my projects. At times it get's discouraging to hear. But I stayed focused and the finished product makes it all worth it.

Depends on the year of the boat. They wouldn't touch my '95 300T when I was looking to do the open bow conversion. Said it was too old. I recall being told the boat couldn't be older than 10 years. Don't know why that would matter, but it is what it is. I'm sure that would apply to adding...
