I bought it because it was cheap and it was a 10/10.. I ran it twice and was a little work back by the fuel bill but not the end of the world..

At the time I had three boats and decided I only wanted two. So I put my 270 and the 340 up for sale and figured which ever one sells I’ll keep the other. I should have just sold the 270 and kept the 340.

I owned it 11 days and made a pretty good sum on it. Knowing where it ended up and what happened to it after jeff sold it was heart breaking. I wish I would have just kept it.

Where did it end up?

It went to Vegas and sat on the side of some guys house in the sun.. then it partially sank.. just a whole bunch of shit. :(. Boat was an 11/10 when I had it.. literally nicer than a new boat
Yup.

New owner is about the same. Has it out in the sun on a hoist, cockpit cover only. He has a clapped out teal 30 for sale.

What is wrong with it that you woukd consider it clapped out? It looks good in the pics. However, I would pretty much gut it anyway.

I know where there is a real nice 300 with 500 's (Blue motors).... Guy is about to travel the country for the year. He has asked me to take it out once a month and exercise it so it doesn't get trailer rot.

Its the classic yellow grey and purple pins nice boat MCOB very well taken care of.
LOL. He asked me the same thing, so now it goes out twice a month! @RiverDave saw it on Facebook marketplace and asked about it I think. "KINDA" is right.

I’m not in a huge hurry.. when I find the right boat I will get it.

I’ve walked by it a few times and the deck is faded and would need an entire re-gel. Kind of one of those “hot from far, far from hot” situations.

We walk by Boulder Marine all the time. It was sitting out there for awhile. Up close and personal its really rough. Not just the trailer either haha.

Gotcha. Thanks for the clarification. Would make for a fun project if one could get it for the right price.

That’s beautiful!! That’s the boat I mentioned I thought was for sale. I wanted that boat when Theresa said it was for sale but I don’t have anywhere to store it. I didn’t know they actually sold it. Marks son Nick was one of my best friends growing up. That’s such an awesome boat. What did they get?

You are correct. I bought it a year ago. They were great to deal with and great people. They are taking a break from boating.

We were neighbors for 20+ years. I love that family and really miss seeing them daily. Glad the boat found a good home though!!

how would a side door make you claustrophobic? I like it just for the ease of loading the boat on the trailer.. and then if you do goto a beach you can actually get on and off the thing.

RD
I've never used one, but I can say that having a side door on a big V bottom would be a huge benefit. In my boat, my bow is 5' above the sand when I beach it in some areas. I bought one of the portable swim steps that attach to a cleat which helps to get on and off of the boat, but a side door would be much better.

Claustrophobic, fuck the side door.

Is this based on real world experience or just a basic 'fuck that'?

I've got to crawl through a few and let me say, the side door is a game changer.

I want to add one to my 300. My wife and daughter are borderline midgets (4' 11-1/2" :)). The door would help tremendously.

Good point. I thought he said he’d consider a 270. You’re right, first post he started at 300. Saw the twins and closed bow and thought it might fit the bill. Oh well.

The side door is bad ass. Great idea from Hallet. I gotta be careful to not let my wife see them because she'd be like, YES! Lets do that! LOL

Like Dave said, loading the boat on the trailer and then in and off while beached. Awesome. I have to carry a folding seat so wife can step up and then jump up on the bow! LOL

One of the best ideas to come out of the west coast. Meanwhile you can’t get one produced lol.

I talked to Chad about his boat and he was going to sell it like like two years ago ago, but I’m not sure he even had it listed. Downside for me would be closed Bow and Ilmors. However, it does have the side door and that is something I wish I had.
It was a Repo. Looked into it before we bought the one you have. The SCT drives are crap also.

Side door works great on the dock as well. Kind of surprised how often we use.

DCB will also.

Depends on the year of the boat. They wouldn't touch my '95 300T when I was looking to do the open bow conversion. Said it was too old. I recall being told the boat couldn't be older than 10 years. Don't know why that would matter, but it is what it is.

I'm sure that would apply to adding a door too.

I was thinking more of an easy 2 AM piss location. Roll out of bed, open door and let her fly. Hell I wouldn't even have to really wake up for that maneuver. 😁🥱
