What was popular as far a cars where you grew up

I graduated in 1975, for guys it was all about 60's and 70's muscle cars if you could swing the $$. Lots of kids had hand me down family cars, or if rich, daddy's bought a lot of Pintos, Gremlins and Novas. I had always worked and saved my money so when I turned 16 I bought a $300 64 Chevy...

    Super Bowl Predictions

Compared to past few years, it's a down year for the Chiefs, but I think they wake up in the post season and go all the way again. My home team too, so I'm going with Chiefs/49'ers

    Neighbors

I've been in my house 40+ years so I've seen a lot of neighbors come and go, most good, but some can be difficult. Had a neighbor once tell me my front porch light (normal fixture with 100W bulb) shined in his window and could I turn it off at 9pm. I explained to him that when someone in the...

Trans Question - Not Bud Light Kind

I vote Gear Vendors, if you ever sell the car you can take it out and sell it or use it in your next car. No fitting a new transmission, shifter etc.

Two weeks out from a total knee replacement

Man, there’s some tough SOB’s on here. I’m still taking painkillers before and after therapy. I’m only 67 but I waited about five years too long. They said the replacement only lasts about 20 years and I really didn’t want to go through two of them so I did Cortizone shots and other therapies to...

Two weeks out from a total knee replacement

Doing good so far, I can walk on my own for a short distance if I have something to hang on to, but they still want me using the walker. Pain wasn’t as bad as I expected but I’m still on painkillers and I don’t think I’d be getting through PT without them. PT is happy with my progress, so...

    LOTO 2023 with rdp!

That island used to be called the Hawaiian Island. Gas dock and a small grocery store on the back side and they built docks on the west end where the causeway is now. I worked there in the mid 70’s pumping gas and working on docks. Lots of history with those condo’s, do lots and lots of research.

Prayers going out to fellow boaters in loto

A bit of history, the land that house sits on is only a few feet above the lake and very flat. In 1983 & 84 (before the house was built) there were Unlimited Hydroplane races at LOTO, that is where the cranes were that lifted the boats off the trailers and set them in the water.
