South OC, California- I haven't received my tags. I paid on 5/20 on a 5/31 expiration. I've received two tickets in the last 3 days (parked). This seems to be a bit excessive. I paid the first one immediately, but honestly, I don't feel I should be penalized because the DMV can't get their shit...
I've got a set of group 24 batteries. I'm planning to mount them in some billet boxes, but the recess in the boxes are a little bigger than the battery? Is this normal? Looks like a quarter inch in the length and width.
I'll do my own on my 270. 10, maybe 12 bolts, 20 screws and the interior including the teak comes out. 3-4k, I think someone was hitting the crack pipe a little too hard.

Simply not the case on my setup. In the past I have cranked for up to 30 seconds for first trip of the year. Guessing it is taking longer to pump through the water/fuel separator...don't know what else it could be.

I guess I could go with one of...
Made a little more progress. Left one of the risers at work and that set me back a little. Running out of stuff to bolt on, need to spend some more money! A little bummed that I can't keep my Clay Smith mechanical pump, but I'll go electric and get away from the cranking after long periods of no...
Leaving a bunch of power on the table with that compression. I've got a pretty similar combo making 800 HP on pump gas...

Got the motor done. 548 Chevrolet. It was in my jet boat previously. Originally built around 13 years ago. Really low hours on it so pulled the cam out (had a big solid roller in it) and went to a hydraulic roller. Power at 6100 is identical to what I was making previously, with a much more...
