Should still open in excel no problem? I’ve made spreadsheets to use as sign in sheets then make them modifiable with adobe or blue beam to put them into procore as forms. They still open in excel though. Are you using an iPad or pc?

Need pro version to convert from PDF to Excel.
All formulas in your original excel document will be lost, only data values will be available

Google Sheets. Just saying.

The "share" feature allows you to send and allow to be opened with only certain permissions. Can look at sheet simultaneously as receiver. They can also be opened in Excel. Most formulas are the same.

Can be saved to PDF, but the dynamic auto-save is great. and it's free. Now that MSFT gone to the subscription model, like Quicken, they will annually move the price up. I expect my firm will completely move away from MSFT Office. Google may do the same pricingat some point, but for now it's a great tool. Also, simple to open the file anywhere, on any computer.

Google sheets has nowhere near the functionality of Excel. I agree it has some neat features, but Excel kicks it's ass in terms of SQL integration and comparability with third part applications.
