The movie was "Bagdad Cafe" with Jack Palance. The Bagdad Cafe is still there on Old National Trails Highway in Newberry Springs. Food is not bad. Bring your own coffee cup and fly swatter!
I miss the Le Mans start and the pits and refueling in the water. Pretty exciting as the boats came in and left the pits!
I also remember when it was mostly inboard boats and then Mercury showed up with their
