my 10 days went by sooooo fast! went to mct mos school then straight to japan. didn't go home for 2 years till I was stationed at pendleton. tell him to stay single and be smart with his money. if the Corps wanted him to have a wife they'd have issued him one. lol. married Marines struggle more than the single guys in the barracks. good luck to him and his future. what route did he take? jobwise.

Bad. Ass. Sir.

Gives me beam with pride and he isn't even mine.

I love my father's picture of the same.

There is not enough I can say.

Thank you to your son, and to his family, for his and their sacrifices.

This country is the best because of fine young men and women like him.

It humbles me what these young people accomplish.

Damn.

Semper Fi!!!

Congratulations. I hope you realize what an honor this is to just say thanks for a lot of us! The advice above about staying single is pretty much true as I did it and it did make things a little more interesting

I took the same path. Boot camp, 10 days leave, mct, mos school, then Okinawa for two years, then Pendleton.

@ original poster, congrats to your son and family. Semper Fi.

bulk fueler 1391? that's gonna put him on the flightline pumping fuel. which means as a weekend warrior he's gonna spend his time at 29 plams on the tactical field or at Yuma in the hot pits. to bad he wasn't active. he could have gotten some good deployment time on ships

He will be stationed at Luke Air Force base for his weekend duty, which is cool because there are 3 others from Az who are doing the same thing from his platoon. He can actually sleep at home here in Scottsdale on those weekends if he desires.

One thing you really come to enjoy is having his fellow marines as guests in your home. They are all great kids and extremely appreciative of a home cooked meal or a weekend at the lake.
