So I finally bought a place in Parker and I'm getting all my business straight out there but I cannot for the life of me get a hold of anyone at Brooke Water (Water Utility). I've tried the 800/928 numbers and left messages, I've even knocked on the door of the maintenance facility off Riverside Dr. They have NO WEBSITE, DON'T RETURN PHONE CALLS, W.T.F!!! Everyone I talk to about this ALL say the same thing "yeah, I know they suck". I've been going out to Parker for the better part of 20+ years and I understand things work on "River Time" but this is a f**king joke! How is it this company even operates? Classic example of why some industries should be under Municiple control and NOT privatized. I'm pulling my hair out with this as I don't want to come out and find my water shut off. Any help? :smackhead:bash:

Yup, I tired.
Again, it goes straight into a message sayin "this number cannot be reached from my calling area". What the hell does that mean? :smackhead

It's the 800 system, local numbers can not dial 800 numbers within the dialing range. You are too close to call using the 800 system with that number, I'll go try now.

Thanks Wheeler but I'm calling from OC and they're in Bakersfield. This company bites...

I just tried that number from Parker and get the same message as you.

Are you attempting to pay your bill? APS in Parker takes payments for Brookes.

Below are the two number from my bill.

Yeah, I'm trying to start new service...

you might want to have somebody go check your meter box to see if the "lock" has been removed already,........I called for 2 weeks when I started building the new place, Rip was digging the new septic tank hole when he cut one of the old water lines, water WAS on all the time :fsakes.............apparently they had come by while I was sleeping ?

The water is currently on but that's only because its been about a month since I closed escrow. From what I've heard if you're a week late on your bill they will shut off the water. I'm trying to establish new service but can't get a hold of anyone. I've left messages and they say they will call you back but NOBODY ever does. From what everyone says (even the Water Dept from the City of Parker) they suck. Don't know what to do...

I was outside our place in Parker, about a month ago, and the Brooke Water guy was shutting off the water to my neighbors place. I asked him if I could pay it for them and was informed that he can't accept payments directly. Later, found out from the neighbor that they owed $24.???????

A local Parker realtor informed me that he was told by the owner of Brooke Water that he would not be happy until his customers were paying the same price for water as they're paying for gasoline. Great attitude!

Also was told that in Parker, APS will accept payments for Brooke Water, but you have to pay in cash, they will not accept checks or credit cards.

Can you beat them to the valve by placing a lock on it in the 'open' position?

We were at our river house over Thanksgiving and discovered that there is a running water leak on the utility side of the meter. I tried, in vain, to contact Brooke Water. After we returned home I discovered this website. http://www.azcc.gov/Divisions/Utilities/Annual Reports/2011/Water/Brooke_Water_LLC.pdf This site names the local guy and the supposed owner with the telephone numbers that no one answers or returns calls from. It does have email addresses. I sent emails to both guys. No response yet. I will not know if the problem is fixed until I get out there in January. I will have a one sided paper trail if further action is necessary. Good luck to you. If you do get action please share it here.

If you need to file a complaint go to this website: http://www.azcc.gov/divisions/utilities/consumerservices.asp

Here is the correct course of action in Parker.. Jump in jeep, Teryx, Rhino whatever.. Stop by circle k and pick up as many beers as your cooler can fit.. 12 won't be enough.. This is a 24-30 or more kind of job.

Park the jeep or whatever in the parking lot of brooke water first thing am.. Open 1st beer. If they aren't there by beer 30 or so.. Try again tomorrow. Sooner or later you'll get it done.

When my son "forgets" to pay his Brooke bill, they call me. (I own the place and water is in my name) They would have been dead to rights to just shut it off on a few occasions, but they always call me and I light a fire under the kid's ass.

Wouldn't it be less headache to raise his rent to include utilities?....................................:D

Just spend $39 at home depot for a 4" grinder with a cutoff wheel. You will never have your water off for long if they put a lock on it. Then play dumb like you dont know who cut it off.

This is the website I used to be able to get in touch with the VP's Office. Don't know what's what now because it's been a few but try it. There should be some phone #s that will get you to the right person. I hope....:grumble:
