We all know that cops suck :p id like to add that railroad cops suck :p I won me a ticket for stopping on the railroad tracks in my big truck. Total bullshit but I guess I deserved it. The officer gave me some schpeal about the city was, havin priblems with big trucks stoppin on the tracks. Funny part was there was no city pd represntation. It was bnsf and sbso and it was a union pacific line. Wtf?? I would have never had to stop on the tracks if the dumb ass cholo in front of me didnt stop at the fucking YIELD sign. He saw the cops and slammed on the brakes thinkin he wouldnt bring attention to his felony ass. Whatever! Wonder how much this is gonna cost?

Sounds like you failed to plan appropriately and ensure you had enough clearance... stopping on RR tracks is just plain Stupid

Worst part is we tow for BNSF and UP. There could have been a warning or sumthin on that level. Ill fight it just because. Then hope the officer doesent show up. I have a class A. No traffic school for me. What can I loose by fightin it.

Gotta pay either way. Fight it and lose = money. Take it and pay it = money. Fight it and win = no money. :D

The only way to Win is to prove that you were not on the tracks. Cheapest way out of any ticket is just to pay it. Chicken Shit, absolutely.

HW - Just a suggestion...Overpay the fine by a few bucks, (say $20.00), and the courts have to send you a refund of the amount overpaid. NO NOT CASH the refund check you receive. Just throw it away, or shread it. The over payment of the fine leaves your case open, until the check is cashed and clears the bank. By not cashing the refund amount check, your D/L is not charged the infraction points for the infraction. Commercial D/L are sensitve on points collected for driving infractions.

While it's true that if he doesn't show the case would be dismissed, what are your chances. Most of the LEO's that I know personally love going to court.

Not sure where I was blaming everyone else. I believe I put in the OP that I guess I deserved it. It is what it is, which was supposed to funny ha ha on me (hence the smileys) but captain serious had to chime in with the typical I never break the law attitude. I love this place. :p I think I will stop on the tracks again tommorow.

Just another shitbag 4 wheel driver. Go ahead and fight it but request traffic school anyway. IF the judge says okay then you can still go even with a cdl.

So what do you do when you break the law and don't get caught? As I recall you blamed everyone else back in 2006. I just felt that your post was pretty much like the pot calling the kettle black! Man up.

ThinkBAck to 2006. When he cut two other board members off and every felt sorry for them, but when it was I and another, we were in the wrong... but its OK use your selective memory To further your Cause. Don't forget before me was another boat he almost took out.... oh wait we don't want those FACTS, it wont help you. Now get back in your cave

This area is OPD and not SBSO. Their is a railroad officer that lives in North Ontario, works out of his house and vehicle, goes into L.A. weekly. He patrols all throughout San Bernardino County. Mostly the track area just South of Holt between Grove and Vineyard.

Andrew, Here's some press on railroad officrs:

BNSF News

BNSF Police Participate in Enforcement Effort in Riverside, Calif.
2010-06-21
BNSF police joined with the Riverside Police Department in Riverside, Calif., and Union Pacific police in a grade-crossing enforcement effort on both Union Pacific and BNSF tracks.

A total of 30 officers from the three organizations were involved in the enforcement action, which included an industrial area and grade crossings on the San Bernardino Subdivision. Officers issued vehicle code violations to 69 people. Railroad police made three trespassing arrests.

"Riverside police on motorcycles were proactive in their enforcement efforts and are knowledgeable about the various railroad-related vehicle-code violations," said Scott Rust, senior special agent, BNSF Resource Protection. Other BNSF police involved with the event included senior special agents Rene Munoz and Aimee Schmidt
