He's not lying as to why the power companies turn off power but DWP doesn't do that, give me a break 🖕

The power companies took some massive hits with the fires over the years and the government used them as a scapegoat. If I were sitting on top, I'd be VERY quick on the trigger to limit exposure to these wind events also. I don't know exactly what happened, but I get their shielding of exposure, after being held liable and being made the villain by the government, populace and media.

In the end, it's on the government to find the happy medium between the utilities and public safety. One thing is clear, the government of this state and that city are complete imbeciles.

DWP leaves their power on, they might start turning it off in other areas if a fire breaks out but they don't start turning off until a fire breaks out. The last time they had a devastating fire caused by their equipment was in 2018, their power has been on through every wind event since 🤷

Of course, taxpayers pay the results of litigation. 😆

The Hits keep coming ! So Much for the DEI Leadership...... You can Kiss the Large Mouth Bass Goodbye. At the very Least I see a No Confidence Vote for The Fire Chief by LAFD Membership and can drag whatever that is running the DWP out The Backdoor. Funny How This Resevoir was not brought up during the Press Conferences ........😎

National news just said newscum has "ordered an independent investigation in why the hydrants lost pressure."
undoubtedly it will be an expensive study....that anyone with the ability to fog a mirror could come up with the answer to

I have no idea how true this is or if at all but good lord, there is stupid and then there is Newscum level stupid.

Yes, Oregon fire trucks have arrived at the Palisades Fire in Southern California. Fifteen Oregon strike teams, consisting of 300 firefighters and 75 engines, arrived in the Los Angeles area on Thursday, January 9, 2025, and began their work on Friday morning, January 10
1
2
. These teams are assigned specifically to the Palisades Fire, which is burning north of the Los Angeles area
1
.The Oregon firefighters are working alongside CAL Fire and other state and federal agencies to protect homes and other buildings, patrol for hot spots, and assist with firefighting efforts
1
. This deployment is one of the largest out-of-state responses the Oregon Fire Service has supported, comparable to the 2017 response to Santa Rosa and Napa
1
.Before starting their work, the Oregon teams completed routine safety checks with CAL Fire in Sacramento to ensure all engines were equipped, mechanically sound, and able to respond safely
1
. The firefighters are expected to be deployed for up to 14 days to assist with the ongoing wildfire crisis in Southern California
2

We are currently working in water pipes in SoCal to make structural upgrades that increase life span of existing infrastructure and also increase operating capacity without putting in all new systems. The lines are offline and empty (not a part of the palisades system though). There is redundancy in these systems to a point, but the winter time IS the time to do maintenance and upgrades due to decreased water demand.

What now, are municipalities supposed to design for worst case 100 year fire storm, AND have 100% redundancy for all systems/reservoirs?

The general public has zero clue what goes into keeping the water on and the shit from backing up into their house. These maintenance/upgrade shutdowns take years of planning for materials procurement and funding allocation. They aren't just done on a whim......and they aren't just reversed on a whim in the unfortunate situation like was experienced this week.

I deleted it, there was some truth but inflammatory for sure
Departments have been known to send apparatus that wasn’t in the best of shape. So when getting demobed, mechanics in ground support find the problems and fix them on the incident dime because of liability if something happens while driving back to home agency. Cal Fire Inspecting out of state agencies when entering state allows them to make sure their equipment is in good shape.

For the budget that FD has, there is absolutely no excuse for everything not to be in tip top shape and ready for battle at any given time.

Fuck, I have redundent lawnmowers, pressure washers, and spare fast moving parts in stock for just about everything I own.....and I'm just a broke dick.

We need a serious reset

You have obviously never worked for the government 🤣. I dropped off a backhoe that the dash looked like an Xmas tree, a month later I get a call it's fixed. A couple days later I go pick it up and as I'm loading it on the trailer the dash lights up like an Xmas tree🤷🤣

Let the implosion begin.
There is a petition out there to remove Bass from office. KFI is reporting over 30k signatures every 15 minutes. Let the people speak and get these idiots out of office.
Enough is enough from these incompetent assholes...
