A toughie ;)
Here's a picture of me and the toughie...she is a very strong woman, she beat cancer twice and this was a breast cancer awareness tournament we did near Sanibel. She'll be just fine, but I still have to check on her. 😉

AJ and Patty are ok. No internet now. They are hunkered down in his storage shack. Said its been crazy scary.

He has been taking vids and pics and will post them up when possible

He said in the other Thread to "Bring It On" and was Ready!! Did he misjudge this, or had the wrong information? I remember the Old Guy "Harry Truman, who lived by Mount Saint Helens, and everyone was trying to get him to leave with them, and he was Firm in Staying as he had been through them before. They Assume he is buried in "LAVA"

Weather forecasting is a Guess.

Pretty much. This was a direct hit on his location. This storm turned into the4th worst in the history of record keeping in FL.

Its been way worse than expected

No…..We have no friends. Most people with any form of common sense hate us. lol

Its just my wife and I. All our friends either pre made plans or got completely surprised, like us, when it changed its direction.

I was just thinking those surprised might remember their friend 100' in the air.

Can't turn away friends, but have to hope they show up with their own supplies.

I just watched an Emergency Agency reporter say that now there may be parts of Florida without Power for 1-2 Months. DAMN!

Maybe, not reading any of my posts will prevent your Head from shaking.🤔
It's like a train wreck, you just can't look away. It's evidently clear you've never been through something like this.

With you all you gotta do is throw a couple more used tires on your roof.

Drive up from my mom’s near Daytona to Jacksonville. Have power here. Saw a bunch, at least 50-75 Electric utility trucks heading south on the 95.

My brother in Naples on the canal sent these

When he says it's crazy scary, it's the real deal.

He's as ready as anyone can be for something like this.
Thy have multiple animals there so it's not easy to just pack up and disappear for a while like is for some others.

43,000 line crews from all states on stand by! Going to be expensive!
The amount of double time is going to be staggaring. This storm may just prop up the boat market for another year or two...

I’d agree. Feel that way with my brother saying saying this shit real. Hes always it’s some wind and rain. Blah blah. He’s never really said stuff like that. He has also said he knows for sure he will need a new roof and stuff. Pretty sure AJ will as well. But he I think he just built within the year or so. If memory serves and I’m not confused with another person. So maybe not.

By some of the dumb ass comments being made, it’s clear some here have never dealt with a hurricane. Worse yet is a typhoon. They are each very humbling. Hopefully there is not substantial loss of life.

I’m hoping might aren’t coming off ass dumb ass comments. I’m totally concerned for everyone there. I can go off what I get first hand from my brother and where he is situated in fort Meyers. Luckily and thankfully he is above the surge. But nobody is above the wind. Luckily. Since he said. He’s still okay

A good friend in Pompano... not C-Ya

He said he’s seen a staging lot with a couple thousand line trucks ready to roll where there needed.

Been in both. No real difference.
Hurricanes, cyclones and typhoons are all essentially the same thing. All three are storm systems with winds exceeding 119km/h (74 mph).

The name differs based on where in the world the storm happens. Typhoons: Occur in the northwestern Pacific Ocean, frequently hitting the Philippines and Japan. Hurricanes: Occur in the North Atlantic Ocean and Northeast Pacific, often affecting the US east coast and Caribbean.

All of us do. For the most part, the comments I’ve read have been more than hopeful. RDP delivered. As a 30 plus year Floridian, I care and I’m worried about my friends and family. Thanks RD

I was gonna call him but he usually goes to bed pretty early so I’m gonna call in am

Just wanted to clarify this a bit as I was in a rush when I posted the post above.

The pretty much part was that is was a lot more intense than expected for sure. Lunatic Fringe is correct. AJ has 4 dogs, 2 donkeys, a rooster and I don't know how many horses right now. The rooster is a squatter and was there when AJ bought the place....he is a survivor and would be fine staying behind. It just isn't a husband and wife in a condo type situation. The eye was also supposed to hit Tampa as a CAT 3. This morning it stalled and took a right straight into his path. It also went from a 3 to almost a 5 (missed by 2 MPH) in a little more than 2 hours I think.

Many people are going to be devastated by this and it is far from over.
