??? Have you been given a delivery date? Or at least an estimate?
Yes, I was given an estimate, and that was a couple weeks after TG, which is obviously gone and past. When I ask for updates, the answer I received from Robby was posted above. So, now, no estimate, and I understand that at this point, shit with Covid is out of their hands, and are afraid to give any real estimates since, they really don't know.

Ok. So here is where my thought process is going. If you're given an estimate or, like DLC, a fairly firm date, and they are coming from China, that would mean they would already be on the boat. If they give you an estimate of a month or less, there should be no delay outside of a strike or something in US ports. I don't see how they could say you will get your vehicle within two weeks or a month and then say, "oops! Covid struck! Sorry, not our fault." Either it's on the boat and has left China, or it hasn't. Any estimate that someone will have a car within a month that doesn't arrive means that person was lied to (outside of a hiccup in US ports).

There was more to it than, "oops Covid struck", back before they were supposed to start shipping for the Thanksgiving delivery, is when they found the barb that was missing on the Oil/Air separator, so that needed to be redesigned. Todd, also said they had some QC issues with parts that were delivered that needed to be fixed, and re-shipped.

They have never really shy'd away from speaking about issues they have found, which is taking blame for delays and issues. They have been pretty transparent with failures.

Then Covid struck them down, according to Robby.

The information is out there if people care to ask vs. speculate or guess, or only use RDP, FB, IG, etc.... for their answers.

I understand that. My point is that if your delivery date is within a month, and you don't get it within a month, it was never on the boat. Anything less than a 30-40 day delivery date means that it is en route.

Aren’t Polaris made in China? They seem to be shipping them stateside. Same with apple products and 95% of everything else we buy lol.

So again lame excuse

I think they are assembled on this continent.

Still cant get a 2023 Polaris, and 2023 is 2 weeks away, so no, they seem to be in the same boat... literally and figuratively.

Polaris isn't even giving an excuse.

You can't get a 2023 Pro R or Turbo R yet.

Why? Polaris does not share that with us.

Hmmm.
Polaris doesn't deliver information, just cars.
;)

Agreed.

Just cars with immediate problems like risk of fire or shrapnel from exploding clutches, and no information on this fixes. And that is just this year. 😁

That's why we all sat around wondering when the Pro Rs would be out for 2+ years and what the specs might be. And those were over a year late to production. No information at all.

Apple recently announced production slowdowns in China due to Covid lockdown (employees rioted over it, and were jumping fences to escape the factory compound), and has revised their sales projections on iPhones downward as a result.

The forced labor used to make their product is escaping? Lame excuse!

Speed Sucks, it is made in China. USA! USA!

Sent from my iPhone made in China by forced labor.

I don't think to many people sat around wondering when the Pro R was coming because Polaris didn't keep says 2 months, 2 weeks .

They did because it was rumored for nearly 3 years... and people didn't want to buy a car that was outdated the next year by a superior car with a rumored larger engine. Plus it was a year late and arrived after the season was half over, the Turbo R arrived when the season was about over... But Polaris is the gold standard of the industry.

At least I know what I'm getting for what price and can make an informed decision from there.

200 pages is a distinct possibility
This page would probably only about 50 pages if it wasn't for a limited number of people ( we all know who they are) that are dead set on defending the actions of RG over and over and over and over again !!!!!

I know at least 5 people that have a Pro R and not one of them sat around complaining about when they were going to be out ! They just continued to enjoy going out and having fun in what they had at the time !

It would be 40 without people crying about how other people spend their money. But you just can't stop.

So then why are you why are you complaining about when the Speed car comes out again? Are you complaining because you don't have one on order? That seems like something a rations person would do.

And what have I been doing instead of complaining about when the Speed Car will come out? Oh yea... enjoying what I have.

Isn't it a rumor every couple years for every vehicle manufacture? I imagine next year Ford, GM, and Ram will come out with new models and new features that are currently being rumored. Polaris waited until their model was ready for market and then unveiled it, and a couple months later customers were taking them home.

They didn't unveil a vehicle, take deposits, give an initial delivery date, and then continue to push it back for 3 years and counting.

You are right. Only Tesla does stuff like that.

But you don’t have a deposit down, so what does it matter to you?

Imagine knowing the specs and buying a Raptor R for a 30% discount, and just having to wait a little while for it… instead of paying a 30% markup and waiting for it.

Imagine saying the same thing over and over again in a thread while everyone at home is laughing at you while they read it for the hundredth time...

If you wanted to race showroom stock or really any class, it seems the Speed car is is cheapest route. As you helped me figure out, it still needs a cage, which is unfortunate, but with the cage, door bars, and harnesses it appears you could go racing. In classes that allow the stock fuel tank. The one in question has the upgraded race fuel cell.

There is no getting your money back from Speed as I am aware. They will do the transfer for you. They will advertise the sale of the spot for you at cost and facilitate the transfer. It is between you and the buyer to figure out extra funds. A $3500 premium for that early of a car is a decent deal since the pride has gone up $9k since then, so you are saving $4500 and jumping towards the head of the line.

You would take delivery in Havasu unless you wanted to pay extra shipping charges to get it where you wanted it. I don’t know how it works, but suffice it to say they are shipping it to Montana for free.

Those numbers represent # 203 of 2 seaters. So presumably that car will be in the first batch of 2 seaters off the assembly line. They are just doing 4 seaters right now.
This car is a 4-seater. El Jefe RG Edition with options I listed. The fuel cell is a biggie if you want to race or run long distances like in Baja.
I think the longer wheelbase of the 4-seater will make a better race platform in the whoops than the 2 seater. Just my opinion.

I think most race teams are running 20+ gallon fuel cells and averaging 100-150 mile range if I am not mistaken? Perhaps someone who races can chime in on that

The fuel cell was one of the only things I didn’t order.. I get it’s a race legal fuel cell but it was like 4500.00.. I couldn’t justify it for a play car

My 2 seat CanAm has 23g Harmon tank. Depending on the race, I can go about 125/150 miles to a full tank.

Correct, the Speed one is 23 gal. And that price is about what it would cost me at Harmon, Fuel Safe, or Pyrotect for a custom shape like that including aluminum tank, bladder, hardware etc.

You’re so busy throwing every company under the bus as you incessantly defend Speed.

What you don’t realize is you’re the one that needs to be under the bus - this thread will be much better for it.

There are like 3 guys on this thread that have a Speed Car on order and don't really seem all that concerned with anything...but a bunch of people that don't have one on order that are totally up in arms about it...I really don't get it....

I will say this, the Speed Car when it comes out, at the very minimum will have every car beat in the looks department....
