It saddens me that it's come to this.

That’s exactly what it is (good or bad), just as Racy points out in his first line.

But you habe no response for the next lines right?

Putting your flag upside down does nothing, yet it resulted in this entire discussion, results in someone stopping and thinking about the state of things for a second, results in other people in your neighborhood that you may not know yet making an introduction...

Objectively results in more than any strategy you have offered on the subject... Soooo....

I'm just confused as to what kind of results you think should happen under what kind of actions and what you have done to achieve those things? Things that you are so quick to critique a guy that flips his flag as a 'do nothing'

Actually yes I do have answers for the other lines.
But I’m not interested in an arbitrary argument with you over semantics…something I’ve noticed you targeting me for lately?
Anyway, what I will say is you will never see me make any suggestion on any social media site regarding courses of action. Whether open sites or not.
My goal is to have people consider if they are actually doing anything, not everyone has the freedom from life’s shackles to do this or that…so it isnt my place to tell anyone “what to do”…and by extension I will never say exactly the things I do.
The objective results you point out over this discussion are in part a result of my critiques as much as anyones.
If my opinion has brought attention to the situation is it not as valid as anyone else’s?
So…what exactly is your problem with me?

I don't have a problem with you, I'm just genuinely curious as to your solution if you are going to give someone else shit for their's.

If you are gonna criticize someone's actions it certainly helps if you can offer an alternative to their misguided undertakings.

This isn't singling you out btw, if you are going to step up to the mic you can't take it personally if someone wants to ask you a question about your stance.

This isn't the only forum I'm active on, so i see lots of these interactions. There are always guys that hint, either directly or indirectly, taking violent measures as the only solution. And anyone doing anything else is a total waste of time. Yet these same people are basically saying "you first". I'm just asking the question to clarify if that is in fact your position, either directly or indirectly.

No I’m absolutely not “hinting” at anything violent. That’ll come on its own accord at some point…probably when we look out and see a mushroom cloud, or when our own “government” decides to eliminate the “extremist problem” once and for all. I can’t picture a lot of effective resistance at any onset, but maybe later as a survival component?
Angie made a lot of good suggestion’s.
I am on no other social media sites, and most days I question my participation on this one!😂
But I do travel all over this Country, and in some cases to other countries. I see all kinds of different responses to the same topics.
We ALL agree on the problems, but rarely on the answers.
Other than a couple libiots, we are all basically on the “same side” here.
But…the majority are SoCal and western AZ people.
I’m not insulting anyone when I say that the majority show outrage on Thursday, but have moved on after a weekend of boating and back to their businesses on Monday.
That’s just the way it is. No one here is going to shut down their business and go march on DC. 🤷🏼‍♂️
There’s been lots of good talk about the founders in this thread …with the teacher schooling everyone!👍
But we even argued over how bad or good they had it?
But the gist is that, as you pointed out, they tried for a decade to reach an agreement and then made sacrifices.
Other countries populations live like this day to day.
Poland, the Balkens, hell ALL of Europe for that matter.
As Americans of this century we’ve seen nothing of the sort. Attu aside, No American alive has ever fought a military war on this soil to repel an enemy back to their side of the line. (Although we should be) That’s a way of life for half the worlds population.
You are from New Zealand I think?
At this point, many people signal (sorry WW) their displeasure, but most don’t make any real stance by getting involved…they’re just too busy right now.
Unfortunately, and Angie can correct if necessary, during the revolutionary war many people here felt the same way.
They just wanted to go on as is, but then the war showed up at their front doors.

If I piss people off and challenge them to prove me wrong then I’m happy. But what to do to get involved is up to them and their situation.

I’m always saying that “everything we do matters”.
That means the things we choose not to do is as important as what we do.
I have 3 known hypocrisies that I live with.
Starbucks coffee, Amazon, and this site.

What we should all agree on is we have it pretty damn good historically speaking. This great life is ours to screw up.
And also ours to preserve.
Our big problem is that our government is not on our side. They are globalists, and we are a problem to them.
Trump is the representation of that, and it’s completely bizarre to me that they haven’t just killed him.
Obviously they don’t have permission yet, maybe the chaos is more beneficial at this point I guess?

I have pals from all over the world that have Immigrated here to United States, some of these folks grew up in war torn country’s living with bombs dropping, snipers in the streets, and general social unrest on a very violent level. You ask any one of these guys about the USA and they will tell you exactly how good life is here and how much they value that.

While I sympathize with the frustration the flipped flag crowd is having, I dont believe for a second that anyone wants to live in an unstable and violent society. 330 million people on this country and no bombs landed on any of them on US soil today.

Things we may want to think about though...

*A Chechen living in Chicago, was shot and killed on the property of a USASOC Colonel last week. Another Chechen was in a car nearby. Both illegals, supposedly working for Utility One out of New Jersey. That company was founded by a Moldovan immigrant last December. He supposedly had been a dishwasher 3 years ago when he moved here.

*A group of 4 "foreign nationals" were arrested at another base last week. DOD hasn't said what nationality yet.

*Over the past several weeks, multiple Chinese nationals have been arrested on US military bases in California.

Our own government is against us, and so are a handful of others. Critical mass may be reached when any of those variables cause an action that can be even remotely blamed on another.

Sorry guys, I gotta ask...
Did the vets that we remembered and honored last weekend ever put our flag upside down? IDK, but I feel we are better than this.
I gotta ask ...
Do you think the vets that we remembered and honored fought and died for our country to become what it has in the last four years? Our government has literally been weaponized against people they do not like. That is exactly what Russia, China and several Middle East nations do everyday and America cries foul. Now we have dropped to that same level. Do you really feel this country is not in distress enough to fly the flag upside down?

It’s seems rather myopic to think that our government has only recently been weaponized against people or powers they do not like or see as threat in the last 4 years, that’s literally been been one of our governments essential roles since its inception😂

While that's all true, it's been taken to new level's now that the establishment is clearly threatened.

This is just yesterday and again pure BULLSHIT.

And if anyone of you doesn't think the RINO ass scumbags are in on it, I've got a vaccine that will protect you from Covid to sell...................

I do not like Biden’s leftist agenda. But, for a moment forget he’s L or R wing, D or R. If you were in a car with him, would you let him drive? That’s a plain and simple common sense question and in no way political. Politically his replacement may be worse, who knows? But, Biden is not fit to be president and that condition will only worsen.

"COULD", "911" be considered an Attack enabled by our "Security" measures and own Aircraft?

I’d say it’s entirely possible that incident was a red herring operation, however it may have just been something that went down and then leveraged to make a run on the Middle East. Dick Cheneys dna is all over the events that followed 911. Either way the public buy in was there after the towers and pentagon were hit. If we look back a little further into the viet nam era and the gulf of tonken, McNamara was able to leverage that incident into a war with initial buy in from the public.

When it comes to national security and real or perceived threats, sometimes the government gets it right, sometimes they get it wrong, but if you dig deep you will find someone somewhere has made a huge fortune everytime.

While we all enjoy having our opinions, make no mistake if your opinion becomes a problem for the real or perceived greater good, it won’t end well for you just like we’re seeing with trump, he fucked around and he’s finding out🤷‍♂️

This is very true. I wouldn't trust the old man unattended with an electric cart from Walmart, let alone at the helm of this country. The next in line to the throne, his successor, I don't feel would be much worse though. He is just a puppet, and I think his successor will be as well.

In a fair and just democracy, I believe Trump had a chance. Seeing as though he, and every one of his high ranking allies are, or have been, targeted by the legal system, I see this going very poorly. If "our" government will go through these things to target big people, with large followings, I fear what they would do to the common folks of average means. We've seen that happened with the J6 people, basically imprisoned as political dissidents. We've seen that they will release violent criminals in our country. We, the people that believe in "the old ways" are considered to be the enemy. These old ways aren't far fetched and bizarre, they are simply those found on the Constitution of our country.

It is a helluva situation, what angers me most is I saw this coming and screamed form the rooftops...

One thing we should consider is what has already been suggested. Take their own playbook from them.
Start getting involved at the local level. This is what they did in the 60s..through the 80s.
Run for your local school board. Show up to meetings. Educate yourself. This began in the schools and it will require changing the education system to fix it.
Pack the board meetings, run candidates, and begin to take the system back.
I have been on a local recreation and park district board for a couple years now. I was asked to throw my name in and was selected. It has been, to say the least, an education. For the first time in history of the district board votes someone voted no on an issue. You can imagine who that someone was.
We are gonna hafta make time to fix it if we want it fixed. waiting for someone else to step up has not worked.
After the school boards, the local government offices...fire district boards, etc...
This is nothing new, it is exactly what they did...we need to get our act together and get involved. Angie did her part as a teacher, history, teaching history is critical.
IF your schools are not doing it, do it yourself. I did so with 3 of the grandkids. History and civics. Facts, not dogma.

By no means will this be easy, nor will it happen overnight. We didn't get here overnight, we won't get back overnight either. If we don't do it this way....well...
Yes, we are all busy, all successful, and there will be consequences to giving our time to the deal...but, really...look around at the shape our country is in.
Do we have a choice?
What are we gonna tell our grandkids we did?

Problem is.... we are quickly becoming just like those countries your pals left. We are on a steep downward trajectory.

My family came from one of those countries, civil war... unrest, poverty etc and came here for a better life. We got it, and all are grateful for that. But things here have deteriorated quickly in the last 20-30 years (especially the last 10), and to act like it hasn't is just being ignorant.

Do you know why so many of those "other countries" have so much war, violence, poverty and unrest? It's not because the people enjoy it.... it's because of their corrupt government and so-called "leaders"

Let’s assume it was a red herring operation, as everyone here likes a good conspiracy😂 if that was the case the money was made on the following decade via the military industrial complex doing what it does, hell you and several others here may even have a pension fund you’re living off of now that was invested in some of the industry’s to profit off of the events following 911.

The eco system of government policy, finance, public services, etc…, are all deeply integrated, well beyond the compression of my pay grade.

You are 100% right. Conservatives must get more involved at the local level. We have gone to a few city council meetings, but I need to put them on our calendar to remind me to go. We joined the local Elks club to meet more like-minded people. If we were here in Montana year-round, I would absolutely run for school board. We usually have very few candidates (somewhere between two and none), so the chances of getting elected are pretty good. I'm still selfish and want to spend winters in a warmer area, and I enjoy the company of our friends there. Maybe that makes me a hypocrite, IDK.

Universally I find two things drive humans exceptionally well.
  1. Tell them they can't do something.
  2. Make them feel cheated.
1.) Don't tell strong willed people they can't do something. The establishment made a mistake when they called Trump names, discounted him and the voters.

Trump is a bull to a red cape when you tell him he is not able to achieve a goal. So he did everything he could to win, than he got to see behind the curtain.

2.) Then they cheated him and half of the citizens of the US, so I suspect he will do everything in hos power to exact revenge on those who have cheated him, his family and supporters.

As a result, the elite establishment will stop at nothing to prevent him from exposing the truths many can't, won't and don't want to know about regarding the consequences of our capitalistic society.

He Fucked around, now he is finding out.

Everyone of us can go along with our daily lives like a willow tree swinging in the wind, but when you start fucking around with the way of the world, it adds some rain to loosen up the soil, some bugs to eat at your bark and disease to weaken your roots, until you topple and slowly return to the earth.

So Far Trump has been damn strong, but what about when the chainsaw shows up?

I'll never believe that he was not expecting them to come after him in Full Force, as the "4" years in Office he was in Court and still vowing to "Clean House". "They" have tried everything that would have destroyed any other Man years ago. President Trump, IMO, has not come this far to Give Up.

My fear is most people really don't give a shit. None of this has happened over night.

It started with the parents that let the TV raise there kids followed by kids raised by DVD players because parents were to busy to handle being a good mom or dad. What was bad has become 100x worse with the invention of the cell phone and unlimited data. The technology and algorithms behind the scenes to wreak havoc on these kids can't be unwound. Now you throw in social media and the desire for immediate gratification and we now have a country full of sub 30 year old losers'.

This country has always been divided its just become way worse in the last 20 years as smaller groups now have a soap box that leads to everyone's pocket. Throw in 8 years of political unrest and a world wide "pandemic" that has caused a large percentage to loose there mind and here we are.

I think the only thing that will fix the issue is time. Kids will get sick of the BS and revert to religion, old school values and being conservative.

I do think some state are beyond repair with the % of messed up individuals and immigrants unfortunately. I think the change will start In the middle of the country and hopefully push out.

This isn't the first time this country has headed to dark waters and we have recovered....Granted that was before cell phones, computers and god knows how AI will change things.

All this and there is a "Entitlement Attitude" that they are entitled to Free Food, Free Education Housing, etc. BUT!! then turn around and complain that everything is out of control and expensive.

Nothing Is Free, and Somewhere, Someone is Paying the "BILL"

"Food Stamps", must be an Apply And Receive situation, as wherever I go from Grocery Stores to Convenience Stops, there is A "Food Stamps Card" (AKA, EBT Card" being used. The original intent was for "Basic" Food Necessities, and not Soda, Candy, and other treats. 🤔

Feeling cheated or restrained may work for some, and possibly to a different extent for others. I've found there to be one universal motivator.

Fear.

Just as they pushed an agenda with the covid campaign. Both sides use fear to coerce the voting public. Tell someone that they'll be taxed, no fear, just anger. Tell someone that the world is on fire, and we need money to put it out? People line up with cash, and solicit donations.

Until people fear the outcome, they have no motivation to change the course.

Does Fear always trigger the same motivation response? If the world is on fire, some may not line up and give cash, they may grab a bucket of water, seek an extinguisher, or simply run away. Fear is a powerful emotion and excellent tool, I'm just not convinced it has a universal outcome. That amygdala trigger seems open to interpretation. My response to fear of the world on fire has been to run away to Montana and get as far away from urban areas. Giving money was never even a consideration. :)

Cheat someone and I think universally they are gonna be angry. Tell them they can't do something and they will tend to disprove your position by whatever means necessary.

My point is only that Trump will fight to the death, because he has been told he could not be President not only once, but three times now, and he was cheated all along the way. He will die on that hill proudly. His Ego will have its legacy.
