I was up in Frisco Texas this weekend for a wedding and we all stayed at the new Omni PGA. The hotel and amenities were top-notch, I would highly recommend.

The course was in great shape, very challenging and man those greens were tough, hard as rock.

The wind was blowing 20+ MPH and we stayed up way too late the night before, closing down the bar at 2am and then waking up at 6 for a 8am tee time. I had a great back 9 but an embarrassing front.

Nice comeback, that’s very impressive.

Played Los Serranos South last Sunday. No idea what i was doing other than hitting 2” behind the ball and 3” deep. Holy crap. Almost walked off the course after 9 just to save my wrists.

Played today at the dump called Willowick in Santa Ana. Makes Bixby look like Pelican Hill. Played horribly but hitting off grass was all of 10 shots all day. Its either weeds or dirt.

Playing Angeles National tomorrow, first time there. Emerald Canyon is booked for New Years day.

That’s a really fun course, definitely takes getting used to especially on the downhill shots.
Played my first round there with Deacon Jones a couple weeks after it opened. . We played in a Raider/Boy Scout charity event together. Had an absolute blast. Invited him to play that weekend and he actually showed up. Wind was HOWLING. We played 9 and called it a day.

Ya I've played it twice, honestly it's hard to beat, price is reasonable, well taken care of and lots of elevation changes.

Played Emerald on Fri. 4 some, finished up in under 3 hours for 18...couldn't believe how quick we played. This time of year is usually 4 hours +. Shot 41, 41.

I think we’ve spoke before and as you know we are in the golf industry as well. It was $29.00 for a round, hot dog, cart and beer. Can’t really beat that. A year or so ago I would have laughed if someone asked me to play there. But it’s a nice cheap stress release to take a few of the guys there monthly and just have a good time.

When I talked to the GM last time I was there he said they want to bring it back to the pga tour days. There was more said but asked to have it kept hush hush until they spill the news.

Carded an 80 at hidden valley, not mad at all. I thought I played here a few times but I was mixing it up with another course. This one is tuff.

Couple penalties and 2 3 putts got me.

Just picked up a new set today. I went with the PXG gen 5s. 5 iron- PW and a 7 wood. I already had their 5 wood.

Got to be honest not a huge fan of the look of the irons but it's hard to be beat a custom fitting and there performance at that price point.

Should receive them in a week or 2.

I always try to hit a draw on this hole I’m a lefty so this one is a challenge . I hit normally with a slide fade so I try to cut the hill .

Played my first round with the new sticks and the new shaft on my driver. I've been playing it a 7 degree but missing left so I bumped it back up to a 10 and the flight is very straight with just a baby fade. Just the launch angle is insane and not getting much roll.

Liking the new irons and the 7nwood for sure. Carded at 83. Front side was rough but shot 3 over on the back with an OB.

Any one interested in a Srixon ZX5 driver. 9.5 degree with a Tensei AV 65 series shaft S flex? In pretty good shape. I also have a newer Callaway jaws 50 degree wedge?

Was going to play Old Ranch tomorrow but it fell through so hitting Coyote Hills in the AM instead. Been playing decent with my new clubs lately... driver has been pretty solid, irons distances are getting homed in and around the greens have been mostly positive (occasionally thinning or fatting a short chip). Hell even putting has been alright. Hoping to put a good round together and enjoy some warmer weather.

Played golf on a weekend for the 1st time in 15yrs last Sunday.

Friends birthday had a weekend of riding motorcycles and he wanted to throw golf in on Sunday morning before heading home.
So we played at his dads home course Mesa del sol out in Yuma. Started the round bogey, par, eagle, birdie! Ended up with a couple doubles and a bunch of missed birdie puts but wasn’t to disappointed since we played the last 4 holes in the rain. Also doesn’t help when your playing partner tells you you can’t reach the water off the tee on the ninth hole only to drive up and be asked “who it that last one it was piped down the middle but wouldn’t stop rolling and it went in the water” Still managed to shoot 80 and had a great time celebrating a friends 50th!

Hopefully I can go another 15yrs without playing again on a weekend!

I also got the 54 degree which has become one of my favorite clubs. Anything 100 yards out or below and I can throw darts with it (that is assuming I hit it well).

Yeah I understand. I used to use my sandwedge for everything around the greens, and then I got the Cleveland zip corps. Wedges took some getting used to but it was a game changer.

I just played Dos Lagos in Corona on Weds. Freaking I ducked really bad that day shot a 101 I literally was ready to just throw my clubs in the trash. Haven’t shot that since I don’t know when. Cart path only and everything was mud

Everywhere is just muddy and wet still. Had to cancel yesterday at Sea N Air on Coronado island. Back nine closed, cart path only on the front 9. My host is an old retired Command Master Chief who's knees aren't up to too much walking anymore. It's not fun to get all muddy.

I did get a round in at Riverwalk before it rained last week. The course is looking good now, the greens were slow but really consistent. Frustrated myself with several birdie to bogie holes. Three putts... F me! More rain coming supposedly Thursday to Sunday next week. I'll be at KOH anyway but where's the sunshine that we pay all this sunshine tax for?!? LOL
