I'll drive to havasu today after work if you want. Should fit in my truck right? I get to bullhead at 6 havasu around 7?
Sounds good!

Save yourself some time...
Sbarry started it[emoji1] [emoji1]
OK... Lots of answers today.
I'm thinking like 3?
I'm keeping my Schiada.. It's going to get a minor make over here pretty quick. Leaving at the end of the month to go back to Schiada, Bear Trailers and possibly Boostpower.
THIS!
Nailed it.. I don't like the Step Bottom Hallett's, but I think the stability with the Twins any problems they did have could easily be overcome.
A lot of smaller boats ran better with the Scorpion than the big block. Would get on plane faster and have a higher top end. Big Block always has more mid range punch though. For applications like a 27-32' boat though, the Scorpions were the cats ass.
Well I have to watch my pennies here a little bit, but I have some ideas.
Pushing the props down doesn't make any sense to me either. I would've left them were they were at, or if anything gone UP. I'm going to try it like it is for the weekend.. Then put it back to the way it was originally, spinning out, without the spacers. Then after that I'll likely throw a set of Revolution's on it and see how it runs and start working backwards from there.
Almost did the Hey Lam.. It's just not me.
The lowers are fine upon inspection. Once I push them back up out of the water stream I'm not sure that the material removed would have any play on the handling characteristics of the boat.
Preston is the MAN!
Yeah... NO. I can't afford that damn thing! And I sure wouldn't want it as my daily driver!
I'll be talking to you a lot about your setup Atilla. These are the blue Scorpion's (Merc Race Motors), and the guys grandfather worked at Merc Racing forever so these are a little different than the one I have in my Schiada. They have a more aggressive Cam in them and they are sporting tube headers instead of IMCO Powerflow's like most I have seen.
2013.
They are just a light weight motor that makes 377 HP (Not 350) and are super reliable. My Schiada holds 52 gallons of fuel.. I fill that boat up and I can run it for 3 weekends straight with all my buddies and never fill it up again. They are crazy fuel efficient and perform well.
We did the Pontoon thing for a couple months and it's definitely good for tubing and kids activities like that. The problems I had with the Pontoon weren't anything to do with the boat. It's the taking 17 people out on the thing and then getting stuck with the boat all by myself. Thank God for Fishing Fool, or that boat would've been sold in the first two weeks. LOL The other thing is it was Wide as F on the trailer and massive. So it wouldn't fit in my garage next to the Schiada (at least not without it being tight). I really hate leaving boats outside... The 270 should fit.
No, I don't think it will be unsafe. I just don't think it's going to pull remotely the #'s that it should with the power it has in it with this setup.
You read that wrong. I'm taking the boat out with Fishing Fool and Andy01 first.. If everything is all good in the hood then I'll come back and get all the kids.
LOTO here we come!
I thought about naming it the Nordlett.
This is the twin step bottom. (Better than the single step, but not as good as the straight IMO) If you can give me a call I have some questions about your setup 949-678-8369
You didn't, I had it wrong[emoji17]I gotta be honest... I don't have a clue what I started.
This one looks like it has steps.
Congrats RD
I'm seeing steps too... But why is it that everyone praises the straight bottom? Does the stepped model handle worse or just different?
BTW: I would love to have this exact boat... Those scorpions were way ahead of their time. Not sure why they ditched them?
Congrats Dave... If your Schiada goes up for sale, maybe give me a heads up. If I could dump the 22 for a decent price, I might really be interested. :thumbsup

You guys are correct. It does have steps. I was under the impression it was the less desirable bottom.
It will fit in your pickup no problem at all. I recommend a tie down or two.I'll drive to havasu today after work if you want. Should fit in my truck right? I get to bullhead at 6 havasu around 7?
I was just saying it more as a joke since that is a big damn boat. Specially when compared to most boats on Naci.
I love Stacy's new boat [emoji1] [emoji39]
Can you feel my enthusiasm????
I actually have 2, but mine are 550's :rolleyesYou debate the fact that his half ton can't make it up Cajon pass or any other pass without blowing the fuck up. So unless u have a Pete 389 with a pumped up 500 cat with 18 gears that can climb the grape vine at 80mph with 110k lbs loaded and still have pedal left , then stfu[emoji4]

Last I check , he doesn't live in the goofy ass state anymore, so tell me the odds of him towing his shit box up any pass ?
Milfy, a couple things.
#1. No way are you going to be a voice of reason buddy.
#2. Did I just read, and comprehend correctly, that you just called a Hallett a shitbox? :yikes
It's 4 miles but you are on point. LOL!Good God almighty. U assclowns would debate about the stupidest shit in America. The guy bought a boat , didnt ask for an opinion on his tow vehicle, jus say nice boat and be done with it.
For some , RD is jus a guy that breathes air and owns a boat or two. I am sure the towing will be tough 5 miles to the launch ramp and if he gets a hair up his ass he might tow it to Parker or mead etc.

You guys take threadjacking to a when new level. Guess joker and I are retired.
Now for the sled. Nice looking boat , hope you have fun with it , keep that big pig off Parker and can't wait for the shit slinging on the Hallett guys about how small blocks are better than big blocks, kinda like you did to the schiada guys

Hallett is spelt N-O-R-D-I-C
Good news rd.Well full write up later but we took the boat out and it ran solid. Honestly don't really have any complaints about how it runs at all? It was crazy windy so we didn't run it for everything it was worth but put it in the mid sixties no problem.

I've never seen so much hype over a stupid boat. You would think this is the coming of Christ.

1- u can't read for shit , there is no mention of Hallett in the quote that u quoted, it said shit box, that is up for interpretation
2- voice of reason. Huh ?
3- I really don't give a fuck at the end of the day
