There partner is the bank. Her Dad has the funds as well. But I don't think he is doing much these days as far as buying.I wouldn't be surprised if Garrett and Laynee Sholl who now own Roadrunner bid on Foxs.
Interesting. There partner is the bank. Her Dad has the funds as well. But I don't think he is doing much these days as far as buying.
He owns 3 of the other bars. Big Bend no hard alcohol. Echo and Rio.
Big MO is now running Big Bend and Echo bar. He had great Mexican food at Rio. But needed to focus more on the bar scene. He has a food catering background not bar. He pretty much Gave up on our echo bar. His focus is Big Bend.Interesting.
I was just going to say, if everything is closing someone should figure out how to try and reopen Rio (again).
get a boat and bring me plsSo you're saying I need to move my havasu/parker trip up to January or February before Foxes closes up for good
Ok can someone lay this out.
Is Foxs closing?
Is this a new owner thing?
Is this a grads troll?
The letter states that the Sandbar parcel will be going up on the website in February.I’m not the expert and my knowledge could be wrong. Here’s what I’ve heard.
The state is auctioning off three parcels of land from Foxs to Sandbar Resort.
Other than that we won’t know until the new owner decides what to do with the bar.

Bring back Badenoch's! Maybe the Indians are getting tired of watching the place rot into the ground.........Thanks!
The big question would be does the sale of the land include the liquor license. If not future of the bar is grim. Not sure how AZ liquor license works. It might be held by the business owner and not part of the land. Not sure if they could move and same license would be good. But I also don't know of many waterfront dock locations that would be a good move to.
That was the one location I thought of. Depends on how the liquor license works. If the owners of Fox's could even consider a move.Bring back Badenoch's! Maybe the Indians are getting tired of watching the place rot into the ground.........
Because not too many want that liability these days in the world of sue happy people that want others to pay for their poor decision-making along with insurance rates going through the roof these days. The entire situation sucks ass I'm sure more for people that get to spend more time there than I. Maybe something good will come of it however, these days hope usually gets instantly blasted out of the sky with a 12 gauge. The question is does anyone on here have enough coin to purchase it. It could be quite the moneymaking venture for someone if the price was right. I'm guessing there's gonna be some developers with way deep pockets looking at this opportunityAt the end of the day, when does the land become more valuable than running a bar?

I looked up current parcels up for bid and you can see the next goes to auction January 3rd.
So when the parcels at the river do go up, the announcement will look like this…

Maybe some of the folks in the local Realty community(Plunkett, Gory, maybe RDP) get a heads up before February?
Probably is all in “who you Know” at the Auction office.
Rumor has it that someone is trying to do just that. We’ve heard it from a few different people now.Bring back Badenoch's! Maybe the Indians are getting tired of watching the place rot into the ground.........
Liquor Licences in AZ:
This license is a "quota" license available only through the Arizona Liquor License Lottery or for purchase on the open market. Once issued, this liquor license is transferable from person to person and/or location to location within the same county and allows the holder both *on- & off-sale retail privileges.
Sad reality for tracks, farms, etc is they are a pain in the ass and make little money. Dad passes away and the kids don't want to work a farm or track for pennies when the land is worth 20 million.Money talks.
Same reason why I hate seeing tracks close down.
This.....Nobody that can afford to buy that land is going to keep/run a bar sadly as the land is too valuable.
Long ago.At the end of the day, when does the land become more valuable than running a bar?
Bummer for sure. Parker is changing quick. This news just plain fucking hurts to hear
Just like Havasu, the new developments are changing the feel & small town vibe exponentially. It sucks ass.Is Parker still Parker without the bars/ destinations?

Branson's is one of the older resorts on the strip. Wonder if they own their land?
The “highest bidder” will take everything from us, leaving only shopping mall entertainment districts, apartment/codo complexes, and golf courses left to enjoy. They will control all future entertainment, and the masses will eat it up and call it capitalism.
Is Parker still Parker without the bars/ destinations?
Nice, you guys can swim over!!!!Rumor has it that someone is trying to do just that. We’ve heard it from a few different people now.
“Mrs.”
That’s my fear Dave. Been boating these waters for 20 years. Without some type of destination, it’s just 13 miles of water.Nope..
How many members does RDP have? And how many friends do us members have who aren't members on here?
Seems like this would be RD's dream purchase. Ask for all of us to pitch in to save an iconic bar on the river! He could use all his connections and conjure up some financial wizardry to make it happen.
River Dave's Place is the new Fox's.
Yes they do and one of the main reason we bought in the park - plus many other reasons.Branson's is one of the older resorts on the strip. Wonder if they own their land?
Sure we have deep pockets here but do these individuals not like a solid return on there $$$?I can think of several members on here that could stroke a check for this and not break a sweat…. Might be as simple as looking at the books coming up with a biz plan and management plan to make sure it’s profitable.
