... Don't know how far along you are???...But if you're wondering when you start it out of the water,...how to get water to the water pump...put a plastic bucket inside the boat back by the transom...Run a piece of heater hose from the inlet on the water pump to the bucket...Run a garden hose into the bucket and regulate the water so you don't run out while it's running... Probably a good idea running the motor prior to taking up to the lake... Also probably a good idea before firing it...cranking the motor over to build up plenty of oil pressure before putting spark to it...

... If you're running into motor problems plenty of guys on here that can help you sort any issues out...

I have a manual primer that works off an electric drill and used it prior to. It goes in place of the distributor to drive the oil pump. Uncle Carl's Howard has a toilet plunger kinda lookin deal that was in the hold that a hose gets connected to. Worked perfect.

Big thanks to Budman and 240 Hallett, both of them came by for the last push. Things weren't going so well and I was getting down, so it was cool to have you guys here to get things done with some serious shit talking going on. Good times.

Glad to help out Brian. She sounds really good! Thanks for the coldies.

Love the little helper!! 240h had to take his shoes off so he didn't mess up that beautiful shag!! LMAO!! :lmao

I mentioned that and it didn't even phase him. That girl has studs coming up from the floor for the seats and hardware and tools all over.

Shoes?...on a boat?? Nope
Btw...that shag is pluuush.

240H was kind enough to pour 10 gal of fuel in her from plastic jugs. I took some fuel and primed the carb, hit the accerator a couple times and hit the key and she fired immediately. Sputtered and died. I hit the accelerator a couple more times and she fired back up and purred like a kitten.

She has a pretty new strut in it.

Headed to puddlestone tomorrow I am sure. I think today is jet ski day. I have to call. There is no way I am towing all the way to havasu without a watertest.

I have been to occupied with the effort, sorry, pictures we minimal.

It was nice to hear her fire and purr. I was worried, a bit.

I'm pretty sure that strut is new. I think Carl broke the old strut a few years ago. In fact I remember the prop dug into the hull pretty deep when it happened. Sounds like it's all been fixed.

As a side note peeps....I just gotta say there is something about the sound of a big block in a boat running on the trailer that just makes you smile.

I am glad there were a couple peeps present to help make it happen.

Thanks peeps, just trying to make it happen.

Rolling with no Bimini or old school cool shag carpet this week though.

I have an old Bimini at my shop here in Upland, free to a good home if you can use it.

Also was at Puddingstone yesterday for my boats first test run, (never made it off the trailer) Even days are boats, need current registration, life vest, fire extinguisher, and throw cushion. and $21.00.

I got a text from BUDMAN this morning asking if I wanted to run with them.

Considering I got off of work this morning and that I have to go in again tonight, I had to pass and try to get more sleep. Hopefully everything is running well.

Just got off the phone with BUDMAN. The boat runs solid after having to tinker with it a couple of times.

He has video of it which I've seen, but now he is trying to figure out how to post the video. He mentioned he was able to post a video of something while we were in Vegas a couple of months ago but admitted he was drunk and doesn't remember how he did it. Lol. I told him to start drinking and maybe he'll figure it out. [emoji106] [emoji482]

Anyways ... Brian, his family, and the Howard will be in Havasu for DS. [emoji41]
