I hope so sir.

My wife laughed when I said I wanted to reinstall oldschool cool shag.

You know it's a fine line you are walking to keep it how Carl would have and what you and the Mrs. prefer. Whatever blend you finish with I'm sure he's looking down smiling...and partly because it's actually getting done.[emoji106]

Took this back in mid January, never realizing its double meaning to me.

Brian, when Hallett Dave redid his boat (think it's a '78) he had the original root beer brown gel redone and installed brown/orange shag carpet.

It's way cool...

Very happy for you Brian, that boat couldn't be in better hands. Another family, more kids growing up in that boat is exactly what he would have wanted.

Tanks are done. I am making bungs and fittings today and then welding them in and fitting the tanks.

The shop has been picking up and I am trying to keep up with everything. I've been running all three machines for a couple weeks now.

Lathe is stacked for the next week. I have 120 supercharger pulleys to turn and drill for Friday delivery. I bid a 3 in thick 24 in long 8 in wide steel part that needs a bunch of milling done to it. Going to be a busy week. I am hoping to take the weekend off to install the tanks, change the fluids, prime and fire this girl up.

My apologies if I missed it, but how are you fabricating the pick up tube?

Easy job, pressed in and stitch welded a tube into an AN fitting. I got a machinist that handles that shit for me. :) ;)

Dual tank, single gauge setup is foreign to me. I was planning on installing a balance tube, but I was well informed that CG does not allow gravity feed in tanks.

So I am going to install a second gauge I guess. I don't see another solution.

Just put a switch on the signal wire to the fuel level gauge and run 2 signal wires, one to each pickup. Just have to make sure you are watching the tank you are currently running.

You don't need a second gauge, just a sending unit in each tank and a selector switch that operates both the gauge and selector valve.
