Some progress today. Trying to get the back end done as much as possible so it doesn’t take up space at the shop.

Drilled the cross beam and main frame so I could run wires for the lights.

So this winter, you still want to fix up my trailer 🤣🤣
New ladder, new side steps, and fresh Mercedes Silver paint.

Beautiful boat, and I'm just as jealous of your chassis table!

Some more progress. Been only getting sundays to work on this and baby is kicking my ass.

I miss calculated and cut the axles height too short. So trailer seems really high to me. But I told myself to load the boat and go from there. Fenders obvious aren’t mounted but you guys get the idea.

Grabbing the boat in two weeks to finish up winch, bow stop, lights, and all the other small items.

Don’t mind the bunks. Using something else.

Damn that boat is going to look great on that trailer. Definitely going to address the tail heavy deal with twins hanging off the back.

Nice work.

May I suggest running a square tube or angle iron 4-6” blow the bunk boards and a kicker to the front like the attached?
IMG_7037.jpeg

Also, runway lights.

Also, runway lights.
I’ve been thinking about doing that all weekend. Boat only weights 2500-3000 lbs. So I don’t think it needs it.

As for runway lights. Still debating on color. Blue or amber.

Trailer is coming out bitchen, why’d you go leaf vs torsion?
And I’d do amber, and blue!
For reference my trailer is 8 total lights, and I’m planning to swap my single color lights for these ones soon.

Time is running out so I ended up buying the recess slimeline panel. Was going to make them flush myself but woulda taken too long. Not sure if I will leave that polish stainless or powdercoat dark silver or black. Will address that later.

Made plasma cut jig for the bezels. Be more consistent cutting and not all crooked. Height is the same as the frame.

Put some resin on the bunks. Hopefully last a little bit longer.

Welded mounts for the walk way panels. These engines are tricky idling and I usually slowly pull up to the trailer and walk the boat in. Well one time I slipped on the bunks and ate shit. So hopefully this helps.

Then finally lifted the boat and test fitted the trailer. Now
I know where to set the ride height for the fenders.

Kinda happy kinda not. Wish it was lower. Wheels do seem big so might get 17s instead.

Hopefully send to powdercoat weds. Rain tomorrow going to delay couple things.

I think the wheel and tire combo is perfect. I would not change it.

Since the boat obviously is not going to ”roll” on the front roller, why not fabricate a custom fitted “V-block” to match the shape of the center pod? The cheap roller looks like an afterthought IMO. The rest of the build is amazing like most everything you do. :)

I can’t OCD on everything. I will get nothing done. I totally get what you’re saying though. On a super time crunch.

I dig it all around the ride height wheels and tires all come together to make it look super good. And the extra height is hidden by the triple imho. I’d leave it a little high for ease of access on the road.

Looks great!!
note: the ladder / bumper, against capped boat, and even not capped boats, Don’t run down the road or put on trailer touching the rubber. It’s can and will crack the cap

I’m adding a limit strap cause I didn’t want the rubber to leave marks on it. But thanks for the heads up. Didn’t think that would crack it. Thank you.

Put it on the trailer and leave a gap between the bumpers and boat. Imagine bouncing down the road and that rubber is constantly rubbing the cap. No bueno. I was surprised when I bought my boat that’s what I was told also. After seeing everyone else do the same with their ladders, it made sense and confirmed what I was told. I usually leave an inch off the bumpers and rub rail.

Do you smack the bumpers pulling the boat in?
dont use it like a “bumper” lol
if in contact when you retrieve, boat is flat in water trailer is tilted on ramp. As you pull out of water the boat pivots to match trailer angle. All that pressure on the nose. craaaaaack.

and if you dont have neutral safety switch, don’t start the boat in gear w a foot throttle with a lil blip. Because it will fly forward smash your kids fingers and crack the cap too. So Iv heard 🤫 lol
