So are the first 1500 cars produced now 4 seats? I remember it was supposed to be 800 4 seats than 500 Diablo than back to 4 seat.

I have heard nothing yet that has deviated from that plan. 800 4 seats then 500 2 seats.

They aren’t reaching out to folks in order, they are doing it based on who your sales rep is, so don’t worry. They reached out to me about car 1010, but not 497 yet.. Both cars have different sales reps.

I received my buyers order DocuSign today. Shit is getting real!

I'm on the fence about a few accessories. I ordered the front bumper with 22" light bar and rear bumper. I'm thinking of getting rid of the bumpers and putting the money towards PCI pumpers front and rear. My car is coming with the standard vinyl seats. Should I upgrade to the suede carbon seats?

I think the suede will look like crap in short order.

I spoke with Karla and Todd and kept my order as is, except I added the break in kit. I didn't know that the break in kit was basically mandatory or it voids your warranty.

On another positive note, Todd said Robby and crew will be heading to the factory shortly to oversee quality control of the production line vehicles.

Yea good call on the break in kit.

I am thinking of doing my own front bumper. I have a Baja Designs 10” front light bar ready to go on.

Also thinking of just mounting it in the front grille.. still undecided.

I did get the rear chase light though.

I was excited to hear the team is heading out for QC at the factory.

I was camping this weekend with a guy that has a RG edition 4 seater on order (somewhere around #1900). He follows the podcast about them. He said they are supposed to start production on the first 1,500 in two weeks (I didn't have the heart to tell him about "1 weeks" on RDP. LOL). He also said he has already paid a bunch of money to them for upgrades. He wants to come to Havasu to take delivery when it is ready. He already modified his toyhauler to fit the car.

So they blew another timeline. It's getting old for me. I would rather them just not give a timeline at all.

I'll buy your spot if you are tired of waiting.

A month ago they said around 60 days, now they are saying around 45 and are going to personally check QC at the factory. They aren't going to give anyone an exact day they start or day they will take delivery, especially in the current supply and logistics climate.

We are moving in the right direction at least.

In November, I was told production was going to start by end of December. The 1st week of January they said 60 days. We are 1 week away from that. Now, it's 45 days. Agreed, we are moving in the right direction, but frustrating none the less.

I agree, it is frustrating, but I think the product and accessories are much better for it. Once they hadn't started building by December I knew this season was over anyway.

On the bright side I'm happy they didn't rush to production and took care of more changes and details.

At this point If I get it in mid June or mid September, it is all the same anyway. I'd rather it not sit in the garage burning up months on the warranty the entire summer.

Thank God for warranty and better yet EXTENDED warranty!

What is the factory extended available on these new Speed cars ?

The RZR has 5 years addition factory warranty for just under $3000. What a bargain

What other products does this manufacturer have out there ? Track record ?
How long have they been around ? ( I know nothing about the company, sure I know Robby Gordons background )

Yes I’m in the market. No I’m not a heckler or hater.

Whats the whole story with these ?
I want long term support for a product I buy.

On paper the speed is impressive. But it hasnt hit the dirt yet. They will break, just like the rest. The new polaris has already had some issues pop up.
Warranty prices can be negotiable for polaris and can am. Not sure on speed
I have the 4 year FULL warranty on my 2019 X3.
Paid 800 for it and have never used it at 2500 miles.
Without getting flamed or sounding like a hater the speed utv is another year or more from being proven. That's the car and the business for me.

I was hoping that time was now. But covid, development, missed dates etc its a ways out.

You can buy a low number spot and be driving it after summer based on current predictions.

Spending 40k+ is fine with long term support. That’s my concern sparking all my questions earlier.
Im curious if a real answer is out there.

It comes with 6 months warranty for the slow key, if you want to use the 300HP key then no warranty from factory. I would definitely get an extended warranty if they offer it.

So very low confidence in the engine / drivetrain living very long ?

And does the company have a strong EBIDTA ? If so great.

There are no long term factory warranties warranties for the Speed yet like there is for the Polaris. You can get several years with the Polaris and an extended warranty. You can get 2 years with the Speed right now.

The Speed is brand new, we don’t know if it is any better or worse from a reliability perspective. Speed is a new company building their own product, however, they have partnered with Polaris and Textron in the past to design SXS. Speed has built race cars for quite awhile and partnered with many industry leaders for the drivetrain design of this car. Engine was designed by NASCAR engine builders and designers, Albins was a design partner for the trans and driveline.

At this time a Polaris or Can Am might be a better choice for you.

As stated the factory speed warranty is 6 months with the 230 HP key. You can buy up to 2 years for coverage with the 300 HP or 230 HP key.

Morgan motorsports in town is your warranty and repair / service facility in Lake havasu. For us here, it doesn’t get much better.

I am Jist hoping he doesn’t get overwhelmed as there is thousands of these things going to be delivered at some point.. that’s Just around here.

They do offer it.. but it comes with a lot more than just the warranty. Comes with guided offroad trips with chase trucks and mechanics on site etc. Pretty cool deal actually

What about the Speed shop (old Hastings building)? With MM being the Speed warranty/repair/service shop in Havasu, starting to wonder if the shop will open. The shop was pitched as being a full dealer / service shop plus a hang-out place with restaurant. Thought it would be a cool ride meet up / finish location, but with very little done, starting to wonder.

I would imagine they are prioritizing resources and time to actually getting the cars to the customers. Could you imagine the pitch forks that would be out if they had a pretty building/service shop/restaurant/hang out spot completed without any cars completed?

I would not expect the full buildout of that place to be complete upon initial deliveries. This was awhile ago now but they stated that Hastings was not going to be a full fab shop. Only services there would be install and basic services.

They have not talked about the building in awhile, so that may have changed.

The shop should be a separate business entity with different resources.
The pitch forks are out no matter what.

We have no idea how they run their business.

There are only about 3000 pitchforks they care about right now.
