And "should out" to Bryan Crofts?

I've only seen a couple of screen shots that have been posted from these update presentations, but I'm sure I just happened to see the only error that was ever made.

Call me a nitpicker, but who proofreads these deals? These are presentations to be given to a large audience consisting mostly of customers. They should be 100% correct and professional.

From bolts in the welds to presentations that aren't right...tells me Speed lacks attention to detail.

Doing these shows weekly with the amount of information they are delivering.. while developing a car? I’m surprised they go off as well as they do.

Are you saying they've stretched themselves too thin?

You don’t think a lot of these ever see the light of day do you ? Just like robbies claim that he was the first to design a lower a arm shock mount lol

He seemed to be the first with a patent on it like 8 years ago.. :)

I think that is the goal, but until unit 21 is shown rolling of the floor, timing is TBD.
With 1-20 going to Speed, nothing counts until unit 21.

So 7 hours into day 1 of Production :)

It will probably take them a week or 2 to get rolling smoothly at whatever pace they can support.

If that is the case, production will be slower then forecasted by us on the internet.
I thought unit 1-10 were already delivered as pre-production test vehicles

Pre-production test vehicles aren't production vehicles by definition.

Similar to the current C8 ZO6 cars being tested and shown, they will never have a VIN, most likely crushed so the one sold at BJ will be VIN #1

I am curious if Speed will be given its own WMI Code (World Manufacturer Identifier Code) from the SAE, or if the VINs will fall under HISUN'S WMI code?

HISUN'S WMI is 7GJ (first 3 of VIN) for reference.

So with the Chinese billionaire and Todd's $ they can't afford to hire a guy who can write in English? 😁🤔

I am saying that sometimes when you are actually doing things (not Monday morning quarterbacking) mistakes are gonna happen.

It’s the overall package and result I care about, a couple of typos aren’t gonna change the result?

Of course that's true. Just a little tease is all.

You can’t rely on anyone to protect your own patents but yourself.

Even if this car never came out, all the new to industry ideas on it would be R&D’d - Rippedoff and Duplicated by everyone.

Overdrive transmissions will be coming soon for everyone, driveline torque limiters, flex fuel sensors, closed cockpit cars. Obviously Polaris is already trying to copy the front bulkhead design.

Hey Ya'll
I have Master #2757 up for sale if anyone is interested. Wanted to see if anyone wanted it here before putting it up everywhere else.
PM me your cell and I can send you the cars info. LE El JEFE 37K, with 3k down and 7.5K in accessories (10.5K Total). Since then there has been a price hike but not charging that, just want my money back on it. LMK
Thank you!

Had an opportunity at another spot. Don't really want to keep both.

You were almost the Speed hater’s dream defector to say you were sick of waiting and were buying a Polaris Pro R ultimate that you’ll also have to wait for :)

Congrats. I assume you moved up in line?

You may not have read this whole thread but you are sitting on a gold mine. I would start the price at $80k and work your way down from there.

From the NCDOT/DMV website:

  • Completely reconstructed or assembled from new or used parts
  • Will be branded as "reconstructed" with a notation of "specially constructed" on the front of the title
  • Year of vehicle will be year of assembly.

Notice the lack of emission control requirements, air bags, safety bumpers or glass, etc.

Sheds some realistic light on Carl’s “investment” strategy, doesn’t it? 😂

As his financial advisor, I recommend you continue to advocate for sales at today’s inflated MSRP. Even that may no longer be a viable option, but appears to be the current best case scenario. Tick tock.

He will sell his cars for whatever the market will bear whenever he decides to sell them. Considering you can’t get a top line Polaris Pro R for the rest of the year, I think he will be fine. At the very least if he sells 5 at MSRP he’s going to have himself a free 6th car.

I was looking at used can am's etc.. Built out like my old one they are between 55-60K USED.

In knowing what the Speed Car is and having 2 four seaters fully built out by Speed I am into them about 41K.

I don't think it's unreasonable to think I could get 55 or possibly even 60 for a NEW speed car when that's what Can Am's are going for used?

If I got 60, than that's 38K which would mean the next speed car would be at a 90% discount.

I suppose it's argumentative on whether or not the market would bare 60K? But currently I think it would.

I agree, especially if there are continuing supply chain issues with Polaris and Can Am in another 6 months. But we will see what happens when these things hit the streets. I will be into mine for $38K ish OTD. A $50K private party sale seems doable in a quick sale given what these things cost OTD these days from a dealer. I think there will be takers in the mid $50Ks for higher optioned cars. If you don't have time to wait in line, You can't build a 300 HP car for anywhere near that price.

I agree with this thought process 100%, IF you had the cars today. The problem is the fed is raising rates and that always slows down the economy which in return always slows down the toy segment. So if you had the car in hand yes you could flip for profit right now but who knows when the cars will hit your hands. 🤷🏼‍♂️🤷🏼‍♂️

There will still be thousands of dudes with money that want the newest thing to go out and play in the dirt with in 6-8 months. There always is.

This is true, and all thousands of them have no biz driving anything other than an Ivan Stewart quarter dropper from 89'.
