    AVGO

I think, generally, people don't like to talk about failures. Investments and money are kind of a weird subject amonst many people to begin with. Further probably 100% of investment advisors have never talked about their failures in serving their clients. Just like no real estate agent has...

Is this a ATT 91639 Scam just dinged in?

I have ATT internet, but not streaming TV. I don't see anywhere in the Smart Home Manager app where you would enable Internet Backup. Further, I'm not sure that's a proper web address.

    Damn Another Company Closes-Party City

Those 2 are probably the best bet. For last minute, grocery store. Amazon is really starting to become chinamart. Nearly every damn seller is a China located entity. Your order info is being given to a Chinese entity with their own separate privacy policy from Amazon. I don't like it at all.

    AVGO

Of 38 stocks, none were green. Boeing was down the least. Of 9 ETFs/Funds, none were green. I inputted several Buy trades in last 20 minutes. I'm going to keep buying if this downtrend continues.

Major Microsft, Google and Apple AI updates...

This. I turned all AI & Siri off. The AI features were defaulted to off in iOS 18.1. Not sure if that's how Apple has it setup or because my Siri settings were off, so AI was set to off upon update to 18.1. I haven't noticed any issues with Microsoft Edge or Chrome on the laptop.

The nightmare of dealing the the elders tech/phones

I have more problems with my wife and technology! Get her on the laptop and I swear she snaps every time. She's not even 50 yet!! I feel really lucky, as my parents at 74 yo get around computers and phones pretty good (dad much more so than my mom). But Dad worked at Edison at a desk so more...

    Moving companies

Your cheaper options are likely: PODS, ABF U-Pack, U-Haul U-Box. We and my mother in law used ABF U-Pack. I know with U-Box and U-Pack you can hire movers on both ends right from the respective websites. And, yes, leave behind anything at or near its service life. Now is the time to get rid...

    Modern classic cars...post 1995?

BMW M3 and M5. Especially manual versions. The mid/late 90s M3's are already fetching good money.

Anybody here use the home title lock protection?

Check County Clerk section of your County website. For Collin County, TX they offer free alerts. One alert is when a document is recorded in the County Clerk's Official Public Records. A separate alert is a Property Fraud Alert (free online subscription through Fidlar Technolgies). In...

    PLTR

Where is the BofA analyst's report available this guy is referencing. It exists, and the SARs is in the Company's Q3 financials report. I can't find the analyst report available through any trading platform I'm on or via Yahoo Finance or Nasdaq website. You'd think it'd be more readily...

    Never FUCKIN fails!!!

On the bright side you had a successful trip and your family is with you. I'm usually solo and pissed I can't get back to family as scheduled. With no additional capacity in the system and full flights, little ability for airlines to work around even small hiccups. Even non-stop flights can...

    WTB New Gas Lawn Mower

Honda mower is great. I have a 2006 model, I change oil and spark plug every Spring. I moved a few years ago and drained the oil in the mower and Power Trim edger (Briggs engine) before loading in trailer. You know where this is going. Start mowing lawn at new house. Halfway through the...

NYC- assassination of United Healthcare CEO

We had United Healthcare for over 20 years, and never had issues (new empliyer has BCBS). Although, we don't have health issues and I've paid more in premiums than gross hospital billing's in that time. Their increase in premiums has been insane. However, there is clearly a reason the stock...

    Strange happenings

I think that is a sign from your wife. My dad and step-mom were visiting recently and we started talking about her father. He passed 15 some years ago (he was a nice guy - I miss his stories!) and my step-mom mentioned after he passed she would randomly notice a penny places where she...

NYC- assassination of United Healthcare CEO

$100B, the market cap is $562 Billion. You can bet the new CEO will have full security detail along with other restrictions on how the person travels. At least in the short/mid time period. The bystander is lucky they didn't get shot considering they likely got a partial look at the...

NYC- assassination of United Healthcare CEO

I'm going with something in his personal life got him killed. Could be business or because he was head of UHC, but how many CEO's are gunned down in a target hit? Can't be many. Considering this was outside a hotel and not a publicly disclosed meeting location (such as the location of the...

    Out of control kids

I see kids doing that in people's houses! It's wild. No parenting anymore. No respect. At a place of business, employees won't say shit as the parents will go all Karen on them. Society is doomed.
