I was told definitely not a good idea, traps to much heat. Could you put a soft start unit on it possibly. My old unit sounded like it was being dropped on the roof and coming through every time it kicked on…..I sure don’t miss that!
I’d say once you are on someone’s schedule about a week to repair as it’s not into any colors/fades/stripes. Cost I’d say $2000-2500 because there is cloth work involved not just gel.
Dang really sorry this happened to you guys but thankfully sounds like neither of you got hurt 👍🏻. That last picture shows unfortunately it’s not just through the gel coat but there is fiberglass cloth showing. You could run it this weekend and enjoy yourselves but I definitely wouldn’t wait...
What about some 40/60 or 40/80 aluminum extrusion, the stuff is pretty versatile and seems to be only limited by imagination and or budget from what I’ve seen.
Wow that’s really cool to watch the process, who did you get to make those 😁. And now you have to come up with another excuse when you burn dinner, might have shot yourself in the foot there Emeril 🥩🔥🤣.
Like others have said it is efflorescence, aka alkali, leaching from the concrete and up through the slab from the soil beneath. Whenever we used to pour a slab in CA. it was required that we put down 3” of sand then 6 mil Plastic over that and then covered with another 3” of sand to prevent...
Ok yeah between my scratched up readers and my small phone screen it didn’t look like a runner, especially the same as the picture of wrapt71 boat he posted, I can see that one good 🤣.
Warpt71 the pictures of speedyzee’s Hondo do not appear to be a runner bottom, it is level/flat all the way across from side to side. The center does not hang lower nor do the outside edges indicating a “runner bottom”. At least that’s how I see it on my phone anyway. It looks like it should...
Wow sorry you are experiencing this, hopefully you are catching it early enough that it’s not an “oh shit” when you start getting into it. One thing I see with the picture you posted of the ski locker is there is no drain hole. So any rain, water over the bow, water from washing and of course...
Pfffffftttt what a jalopy this thing is, I mean the rub rail screws aren’t even clocked the same direction, sheeesh!
🤣🤣 very very nice boat, congrats to whoever pick this up, they are going to have a fun summer me thinks.
So where it currently stands is I did go by MVD this morning and explained what I was experiencing. The gal couldn’t believe it was a problem so she went up the ladder so to speak. Someone up the food chain said that MVD could do a “Level 1” inspection on said truck and if all checks out they...
This is a true statement, my Tahoe and my 2500 are both registered as commercial here in AZ as well as this 3500 I’m having trouble with (although when I registered it the new AZ plate is only 6 characters. When I questioned this I was told “it’s just how the computer spits them out”).What it...
I do not currently have an RV DrRob but this is definitely a Avenue I will look into when the time comes as I will be switching to good Sam for roadside assistance as triple AAA sucks balls now (5 hour wait time on my last tow call, and I was in town/Havasu not out in the boondocks 🤬)!
The truck is currently registered here in AZ where I live, this was not a problem. I bought the truck out of CA and had an insurance policy in place before I went to pick it up and actually drove it to MVD on the way home and registered it. Now that the policy is up for renewal the current...
Thanks to everyone that took the time to respond. Yes this is registered in AZ where I live. I may do as Braindead mentioned and just non op it until it/I am finished with the build out but before doing that I will get a couple quotes on a commercial insurance policy just to see where it lands...
So I will try to keep this short, in October 2023 I purchased a new to me 2003 Chevy 3500 standard cab 2wheel drive dually. I added it to my current insurance with my other two trucks no problem done. Last week I received a non renewal notice for this truck, I inquired as to why and was told...
As an outsider I read through this thread or whatever it’s called and honestly have to laugh to myself. Because sure as water is wet the minute someone on RDP posts that they bought one of these $450K glorified aluminum garage door sofa haulers most of the people that have poo pooed it as stupid...
