Alright - I have seen a few of these setups around and they look pretty similar (either one guy/outfit is building or you can order from a manuf.). The plates are plastic. Each boat ontop is 260 lbs apiece so we are not talking crazy weight. A couple of PVC tubs to hold sails and lines / Masts on top. I already have the trailer. Anyone on here ever seen or know the company / product / system? Maybe they have sheets of the plate material and are cutting and drilling off a template? Suggestions? I figure someone on here will or would have run across this.

* Metal would be to heavy and overkill for what I am trying to do. Additionally this will be in a salt water environment.
* I am not setup to weld aluminum and I really want to be able to cleanly break this down or transfer over to another trailer down the road. Also I think this would be $$ for someone to weld up.
* I am trying to buy the trailer in question and split apart because the trailer is not what I want but the racking would bolt on to mine.

What about some 40/60 or 40/80 aluminum extrusion, the stuff is pretty versatile and seems to be only limited by imagination and or budget from what I’ve seen.

I would imagine that rack assembly is homemade. It doesn't look too complicated to be honest with you, and I'm sure you could replicate it without too much work. I doubt anything is really welded as everything I can see in that picture seems to be bolted together. 👍
