We’re not far from one another and the leaves on the trees were/are barely moving at my house. I talked to my Dad near Canyon Lake and the wind was blowing hard. I drove down to Temecula Motorsports and it was blowing like crazy. Came back home and nothing.

So weird how it’s blowing hard in one spot and not blowing at all a few miles away.

Watching KTLA and they’re showing the fires leap frogging these homes. I can only imagine watching your home go up in flames live on tv, so sad.

Such a bizarre wind event. My Dad, basically Newport & Goetz (east Gate near A’s Pizza), was saying it was blowing like crazy. I’m on the east side of 215fwy and hardly a breeze. That’s maybe a few miles of distance.

My backyard faces Goetz, had noboby behind me for 18 years until they built that new community right up to my fence line two years ago...it was windy yesterday at my house, but nothing too crazy, not a piece of furniture our anything outside moved....I even bbq'd last night on the deck without much issue...such a weird event like you said...

That altadena fire has real potential to majorly fuck shit up in about an hour. It's coming down hill with its aim right at Altadena proper and not much of anything to stop if from getting there. Tons of fuel in that area also. Very real chance it could spread into the Chevy Chase Dr. Area as well.

And the wind is STILL screaming in Burbank. If a fire bug hits the verdugos..... things will get REALLY bad really quick for houses in the Burbank hills.
