This is why gasoline Hondas are superior.
imo a back up generator big enough to power a home 100 percent should be a diesel.A regular portable like a honda eu series or any similar should be gas.dual fuel does no good in this situation.

Easy to keep a few gallons of gas for up to 6 months without a worry.3-4 5 gallon cans dump in car say 5 months refill them with fresh

They are briefing Biden right now on TV and he has no idea where he is or what's happening.

This is an example of Trump at his worst. Now is not the time for this kind of comment. I'm disappointed he can't rise above this crap in times of crisis. I feel terrible for those who have lost their homes regardless of who they voted for. After the threat is stopped we can criticize, but right now we need to show some compassion and look for solutions.

An emergency genny doesn't need to power the whole home. If some forethought was used....all the 120V essentials should be put on 1 buss. Fridge/microwave/a few lights, a few outlets. That's what you NEED. Then a little 3500W genny can tie into that one buss and run everything just fine. Get cold?...turn a few lights off and plug in a small electric heater in the room, or get a jacket.

I have my deal set up like this and it works fine...the few times I've had to do it.

This fucking politicking finger pointing is ridiculous. No man made intervention, save for a cloud seeding rain storm is going to extinguish the flames. Maybe we should ask for those responsible for the man made hurricane that wiped out the east coast a couple months ago to start one over here ASAP? Where is Rmarion? He knows who started the Hurricane....

I guess people just need someone to point and blame and monday morning quarterback. From what I saw on the live feeds yesterday at palisades, there was literally noting you could do to contain or keep up with the spread. There were firefighters everywhere. Water sprayed from the ground seemed to be doing nothing : (

Are Gayvin and Joe at their worst politicking in Santa Monica?

You get the bad with the good.

No re-election concerns and he's already won, no way he could resist it. I would imagine with all the shit the Uni-Party government has put him through over the last 8 years and having a bullet nearly take your life, he really doesn't care either, but you have a valid point.

No? But if he was in office literally nothing would be different but the rhetoric. Fire would still be 0% contained. He would be patting himself on the back for small successes and tooting his own horn about this and that, but nothing on the ground would be physically different. I voted for trump, 3 times......wouldn't change a thing there.

Politicians are NOT going to solve CA's wildfire issue. It is a result of populations in high fire risk areas, construction methods that use flammable materials, and uncontrollable conditions that give no chance for containment.

Gayvin sounded like a prick yesterday at the news conference (because he is a slimey prick), blaming residents for not listening to the .GOV and evacuating earlier. Like they (the residents) were responsible for what was going on around them and if everyone had just got in a nice little line immediately when the first evac alert went out and waited their turn to evacuate that things would somehow be different.

That guy will never accept responsibility for anything, he has proven that time and time again over the years, remember the covid debacle?

I just want to know how many photos of himself he has on the walls of his house, nobody adores him more than himself

I told my son the exact same thing yesterday. Dickscum was literally chastising people for not leaving everything at the drop of the hat. And then he got up there touting how the federal government is going to reimburse California for all this and how it wasn’t “political”. It was a total jab at Trump.

Ok Gav, everything that comes out of your slimy mouth is 100% political. Keep licking creepy uncle Joe’s shit stained asshole. 🖕

how many illegals do you think can afford to live in (and therefor evacuate from) Malibu / Pacific Palisades? (Aside from the groundskeepers who stay in the guest villa?

For the record MOST people affected in PP or Malibu would more than likely not head to a shelter. Some would need to of course.

There are other fires in less rich "hoods" that will have no choice to head to a shelter. That shelter could be existing schools, etc or to local hotels amongst other available facilities.

I am not trying to argue or be insensitive to anybody affected. Just dont come at me throwing out shit like I am trying to misinform as I would never do that.

I wont comment on the shelters anymore unless I get further info

I only wish the best to anybody in the path of these fires and that applies to peeps outside of PP and Malibu as well.
Tops burgers on Allen in Pasadena is packed with families and no where to go

Everyone wants to blame the mayor thats out of the country.....she aint doing shit if she is here. Would be interested to know what the true water issue is/was, if it was a supply issue, power issue, or just purely a demand issue due to the size of the event. Maybe just another scapegoat to blame, as I don't think any amount of water from the ground puts a dent into the chaos that occurred yesterday.

There is also no amount of "cleaning" of the "forest" that would help. From what I saw on the live feed yesterday, every single palm tree in CA needs to be cut down and disposed of as they were lighting up well before anything around them was on fire and then the embers and burning husks were being blown downwind.

Did you know that palm trees do not scrub the air, they are actually useless

Channel 7 has the DA on right now and the anchor reached out with a real good question...."what do people do if they feel they're being vicimized over this in the next few months?"....and he actually had a decent answer.

First time I've heard anything actually useful on the news in a while.

Those palm trees bring nothing to the table as far as I am concerned. I had a house with 21 total. I made sure to have them skinned and trimmed once a year. Lots of money spent for no real benefit other than "looks".

My 3000W Honda EU 120V runs everything but the AC., it will circulate air but no compressor. I have a Diesel light tower but I've never used it. 7.5kw. the Honda has worked well.

Its going to be tough on them. I feel horrible for what they are all going to go thru.

Even if your ins (assuming you have) tells you to go stay in a hotel many hotels will be full.
During the Yorba Linda fire all the hotels were full. Not only for the evacuees, but also for all the firefighters that were here from out of state. The home rental prices were thru the roof while their homes were being rebuilt if you could find one.

I counted 7 tipped over already.
