Happy to read this. I know you have posted before about wanting to get out, but your family didn’t. I’m sure wherever you end up choosing to live will definitely reduce the stress you have to provide for your family and be in a safer environment.

If Honor, character, and Morals make a difference Ruben, left his Nine Month Pregnant Wife for "Greener Pastures" I am Praying Kari Lake, beats his Sorry Ass in the Ground and he is stupid enough to "Debate" her.

The "Financial Statements were released yesterday and Sinema has the Most by far, but few believe she is going to run. Lake has the least amount and has a Massive Debt from Everything" 202 Election-related Issues and according to reports is losing support daily. Gallego has the most and is adding. He follows the "Squad" Playbook of Campaign Promises- Freebies, Freebies, Freebies, and above all the "Race Card" and then once Elected, continue Hammering these Time Tested Winners.

I live in Pompano Beach, Florida. It is between Fort Lauderdale and Lighthouse Point. Which is next to Deerfield Beach and Boca Raton.

My only regret about moving to Florida is that I didn’t do it 10 or 20 years earlier. I truly LOVE where I live. So much to do. But let’s be real. It has its negatives. It’s crowded. We have beggars at most on ramps. Theft was invented here! Lol

Overall, it’s the lifestyle that I have embraced. I rarely wear pants or shoes. Sunglasses, shirt, shorts, and flip-flops is my uniform. I enjoy my bubble that I live in. I’ve put a mere 50k miles on my car in 11 years of use. I rarely drive it. My golf cart is my vehicle of choice. I only work if I feel like it. Lol

If I could figure out how to make decent money I’d already be there!

I encourage you to consider your step daughter, I moved 800 miles with my family right after my freshman year, at 14, it was pretty rough to meet new friends and "fit-in" while staying out of trouble.

Just a thought, none of my business, congrats, the search for the new landing spot will be a great adventure in itself!!
Thanks Sir!

She goes to an all girl Catholic school and will continue that there. Her main concern is that the new school has Swimming and Water Polo, her current sports.

To be honest, with todays technology, all they do is facetime anyways. Its so odd. LOL..Im like, dont worry, you can do that in AZ. 😂

I rarely see pan handlers in Sarasota. Never a homeless camp or tent.
Downtown Sarasota, I see the same 3. One is an older heavyweight lady with a little chihuahua, She asked me for money one day and I offered to take her dog if she can't afford to feed herself how is she feeding the dog. Needless to say she was actually polite about her response, and still remembers me when I see her lol. I do give her a small bag of science diet small breed dog food, every once in awhile, but nothing for her, and she never asks me again!

We're out for any water sports...I think there may be one "swim team", but when I looked, no times that would have been competitive. I believe Phelps is coaching a team in the Valley now, but I'm so out of the water polo loop now I have no clue what's out there.

Kids are a big one.

I probably wouldn't move my kid in the middle of highschool. It was big factor when we decided to jump.

Every kid is also different my kid has never had an issue making friends but to a certain extent he is kind of a lone wolf. (he is very social but hates the normal teenage drama)

Schools in S. Utah are different. Middle school is 6-7 , junior high is 8-9 and high school is 10-12. The Junior highs and HS are typically in close proximity and the 9th graders still can play highschool sports. Its strange but I kind of like it if you have a small, young or immature 9th grader. We are in a very good school district that i would but on par with a CA charter school. I don't know if school is easier here or if the teachers are just that much better.

We moved him the start of 7th grade year so he was already the older kid at the school and had a good group before 8th. Sports is also huge the first thing we did when we moved was get him on a club soccer team. I wouldn't say he has made any best friends from soccer but he knows a ton of kids because of it.

He likes the area and is absolutely killing it in school. He at times complains that the area isn't edgy enough..... I asked him what he meant and he shows me a video from the first day of Highschool in Corona as he still has good friends back in CA and its 4 black girls absolutely beating the shit out of each other in the quad. My response was and that right there is why I moved you. ;):D

If you decide to move to Phoenix. Here is the best high school in Phoenix for your daughter. Sure, I am biased. I sent my daughter here. It’s an all girls catholic school. It is actually connected to Brophy, the all boys high school.

Xavier College Preparatory

I expect to get some hate for this post, because most other high schools HATE Xavier and Brophy. Mainly because those schools do not like to loose. XCP has more State Championship Trophies than all the other high schools combined. When my daughter went there, XCP hadn’t lost a golf tournament in 26 years.

While attending XCP. My daughter won 2 State Soccer Championships. She was the star of the show her senior year. We beat Corona Del Sol 2-0, both goals being my daughters. Proud Dad!

Emma Stone and Aidy Bryant went to XCP.

Thanks Sir, the wife will love this info.

Without giving away her school here, her brother school hates to lose also and are ranked real high in football. This is perfect info:) I really appreciate it.

Not that your kids are anything like me but I got into way more trouble at western Christian and even more at Damien than I did at diamond ranch. Kids had more money to get in bigger trouble at private school. That said my boys are all in private because of the sex ed bullshit at public

Congrats on seeking a better life for you and your family. Every place is different and I’m hoping you find that perfect place for you.
I hear all of the Cali bashing, I’ve heard it a lot of times. But not all of California sucks, there are some great spots and people here too, it’s the stupid politics that’s driving people away. I’m a couple of weeks away from retirement and the biggest question I get is “where you gonna move to”? I plan on going to a lot of places, to visit on vacation, but I’m coming back like I’ve always done.
I’ve lived in some real shit holes in So Cal growing up in poverty but I always worked to better myself and my surroundings for my family. Now I live in a neighborhood that my wife and I have gazed upon for 25 years, always saying to ourselves…someday.
When we moved here our neighbors put on a welcoming party for us the day we moved in, the whole block showed up. I was blown away. They took down our names, phone numbers, emails, kids names and our dogs name to add to the “block roster”. Since I work, my next door neighbor brings in my trash cans the second the trash truck leaves. Every 4th of July is a BBQ block party. Every Halloween the whole block is down at the corner house for a pot luck and cocktails so the trick or treaters don’t have to loop the whole cul de sac to scoop up loads of candy. Everyone looks out for each other. I got a great thing here and I know it, I ain’t giving it up because my governor is a slime ball. Politicians come and go, I’ll continue to outlast all of them.
Besides, the weather is great! If you like occasional rain. 😆

Out in Jamul where we last lived in CA was outstanding. As good as it was and the friends we still have there, you can't get away from some things. Income tax, gas prices, insurance increases, 2nd amendment attacks and public schools indoctrinating your kids. I am sure there are more, but those are at the top of the list.

Thats the main reason we chose private. The “agenda” at public.

When I met my wife my stepdaughter was 2nd grade. All d and f grades. She has been in private since then.

She is now high honor roll and I like to think that was some of my doing and being able to give her the opportunity.

Appreciate that 530l! I got an email out to Xavier on the tuition rates. Wife really likes the look of it there.
Not cheap, but Brophy and Xavier are excellent schools. As Vic pointed out, they still have their problems, as all schools do, but they are different than those at your average public school.

Look into the states voucher program. Xavier is a diocese school. Brophy is a Jesuit school. They both have large tuition deferral programs. I think over half the brophy kids are on a scholarship and all the Loyola academy kids are.

I think brophy is 17 and Xavier is 21 for tuition. They raised the tuition significantly when the voucher program expanded.

Your daughter will have to pass an entrance exam.

If it becomes a situation whereas there are more applicants than available space, then I can help. I still have contacts at the school. I am on their email list. However, I am well known at Xavier. I was the volunteer soccer announcer at their soccer stadium for 8 years. (The voice of the Gators) The soccer stadium is named after one of my daughter’s teammates, parents. (1 million $ donation) The largest building on campus, “Fitzgerald Hall” is actually named after Sister Joan Fitzgerald (the principal), which is also my last name, so I was able to dodge the “naming rights” donations, pressure.

Sister Lynn Windsor is the Athletic Director. She is a legend and the golf coach. The golf team practiced at The Phoenix Country Club, in which I was a member. Sister Lynn likes any girl that can help bring home a title, in any sport. But it’s education in which Xavier truly excels. Over 98% of the girls go onto college.

Until about 3 years ago, my daughter was the volunteer JV soccer coach at Xavier. Like I said, I have many contacts at the school.

As far as price…….. It’s nickname is one of the following terms:

Our Lady of Purpertual Fundraising

or

Our Lady of the Holley Fundraiser

Take your pick. lol.

I don’t want to scare you off by telling you what I paid for my daughter’s Xavier education. Let’s just say I went above and beyond the call of duty, with my donations.

FWIW, my daughter, after college and medical school, went on to teach heart surgeons how to do robotic heart surgery. She runs the robot for the 1st 50 procedures. After that, the surgeon has enough experience to do the procedures on their own. Needless to say, my wife and I are proud of her accomplishments. We are also pretty sure she is never going to need a loan from us. She lives in Phoenix.

You sir, are the official record holder of hitting the bricks and making it happen! We were two weeks from deciding, and another two into escrow...by your standards we took things slow. Just shy of a month, then a 10 day escrow because the bank wanted it off their books.

Cool that you are renting for now. You'll be able to take weekday and weekend drives to scope out potential homes. You'll be able to see places more than just when a realtor can show them, and traffic on different days and such.

Good luck, you've started the ball rolling in a big way!
