Another D21
I see an old friend.
Boat was built in the mid 60’s and still runnin strong
Was having an incredible day yesterday until my wife called me in just after 3 yesterday.
It’s amazing how in a matter of seconds your day can change.
I am so thankful that the Lord had a hand in the attempt on DJT yesterday and that from all reports he is doing well.
Puts everything thing we do and have a deep passion for in perspective for sure.
With that being said…it was a busy day around here yesterday!
First, the twin engine tunnel “PowerCat” finally headed to the paint shop…

Then this Biesemeyer arrived with a truck bed full of parts to be assembled for the 2024 Enduro and run in the small block class.
It’s gonna be some work, but we’ll git’er done.

Been rigging this 23 foot whaler on and off for a little over a year.
Between other projects, my real job and a shoulder surgery that cut about 4 months out from working on it(everything needs to be done on hands and knees in the boat and I couldn’t support myself without pain) I got it fired, tuned and transmission tested and she’s ready for a water test in a few weeks.
Probably one of the toughest installs I’ve done between the physical part of it(you don’t just lean in you climb in) and the need to fit everything in between the stringers. Super tight for the parts and a good sized guy like me getting to everything!
Good News…she’s ready to go!

Originally built in the 60's... Ken Meyers (B&K Boats) did a ton of work on Mr. Magoo over the years including that bad ass paint job that still looks awesome, not sure is Mr Moody has had it replicated or touched up since Ken passed... I loved seeing that boat at B&K, I would just walk around it and check it out, the trailer is next level as well. The gents that built that boat are top notch!Boat was built in the mid 60’s and still runnin strong

A combination of his Son In Law Luther and good Friend Felix, ken was rollin in the 69' before he passed, this was outside his services. Ken was a deer friend, he and my Dad met in 46' or 47' flying model air planes and Kenny's first trip ever leaving Lakewood was with my Uncle Walter and my Dad to lake Millerton. I think that trip with my uncles SK and w/ a flat head.Kenny was a great guy! Loved his Chevy truck!
My Mom and Dad bought a 1970 Chevy C20. I still have it!A combination of his Son In Law Luther and good Friend Felix, ken was rollin in the 69' before he passed, this was outside his services. Thing is cool! I love it!It’s a 23 foot Silver Wing.
Boats were originally built by Speed Marine in Orange County and the mold was sold to Jim Wilkes.
I believe there was around 15-20 made total and all but 4 were I/Os.
And yes, this one is owned by Chuck Monroe.
He bought it originally in the 80’s and at some point it was stolen and found years later up in Sacramento where he bought it back.
The re-rigging was started on and not finished and that’s when him and Scott asked me to finish it.
Can’t wait to pull up to Fox’s in this beauty!
Been a longtime comin!

Miss Irvine lake! It was great while it lasted!
It's got more water in it than it's had in 20 years.Miss Irvine lake! It was great while it lasted!
Walked by this today hangin on the wall, don’t think I’ve ever posted it.
One of the most intense restorations I’ve ever done.
Boat was a mess as you can see.
Check out the picture of both engines on the dyno!
1291 ft lbs of torque at 3300!
Thing jumped out of the water like no other cruiser I have ever driven!

How many decibels will it lower them? I've got some chrome water injected Bassetts from the Lavey I could put on...what do you recommend?Looks great.
I better get those exhaust inserts on the way!
Right? I always thought it was a shame that thing was sitting there rotting. Hopefully it gets brought back to its former glory!Looks like the one between your house and mine. I noticed it was missing maybe a month ago?
