Awesome that Bill painted it!
Bill was quite a character but really talented. Back in the 70's he painted a Porsche for my father. That's when he was located by Valley College in North Hollywood. Later when I needed my dually painted he was in Chatsworth/ Canoga Park area. Towards the end of his career and life, he was painting out of another buddy's shop, Doug's Custom in Chatsworth right next to where Cole was located. Billy was painting nostalgic dragsters.

… when I was about 16 Andy Herbert used to come up to our shadow Hills house… To hang out with the father of the household…probably 1962…Andy wasn’t all that much older than us three knuckleheads that lived there… But he was a talented guy… And we were just dumb kids…

… i’ve participated in some all-time classic boat launches… But this hàs to rate with the best of them …I swear it was a good 45 minutes from the time the truck backed into the water until they actually took off in the boat…. lol… Andy’s cousin… Wayne Herbert was a big part of the launching crew…👍

See Sharp Shooters photo of the wood deck a few up from here...

Howard Smith's wood 69 Patterson with a 392. Howard passed and his son Greg cherishes the boat now - Greg is a hard core v-driver and has been running with me for several years now. Even the fire smoke wont stop him - beautiful boat with a wood trailer - was originally set up for enduro fuel tanks

Bob Graef used to work for Rusher
I have heard the stories from Friends that worked with him there. Before my Cousin worked there. Surprised the Rusher name still on it now. If no affiliate to Rusher.

Last night at Dinner Rusher got mentioned. Small world.
