Did you take your boats north with you?
Love my Sebring.

It went 90 with a small block.

I dont know how fast it is with the boostpower 588, still experimenting.

There is something to be said about the freedom and ease that a 20ft boat brings to a trip.
Big boats are nice, but I often prefer to take a smaller boat out.

92mph for a bass boat with a 250...not too shabby.

There is another similar one around with the step by step lifting it over the wall into the pool I’d show em but photofucket sucks lately for me.

Haha, y’all kept great care of it. I bought it from a gentlemen in Austin who I believe had bought it from you all. I’ve had it in houston area for the last ~7 years and it’s definitely well cared for, garaged, etc. It now has a Jay Smith Racing Engines rebuilt power head and new sport master lower end… I love it.

That makes me so happy to know that you're enjoying her and taking care of her. Probably kindof weird that it matters to me, but it does. Hopefully the prior owner told you how that boat is a one of a kind build from Ultra - the only one that John West ever built. It is a Southwind tunnel bottom with a 20XT top. As you know, it cuts through nearly anything like a hot knife through butter. 👍

I used to live in Houston. What lake to y'all boat on?

I actually looked back in my PMs from 2014 when I bought it, and you had kindly shared back then with me the history on the boat and it being a one-off from Ultra. Very much appreciated that. The boat rides great and feels like a sports car in corners. Now days I primarily boat on Lake Houston but the boat has mostly been used in Lake Charles LA on the Calcasieu River. It still turns lots of heads, love the 1990’s! I need a pic of it now behind my old 94 pickup.

The DiMarco 21 belongs to a very good friend of mine the Sanger belongs to his son, great guys. The D21 has a 1300 Teague and the Sanger has a 572. That’s my big ass in the blue shirt.

I know that DiMarco. How long has your friend owned it? If it's the same boat, I ran my Schiada against it at a V-Drive of America event at San Antonio a lot of years ago. The owner at that time built the motor himself. The name of my boat wad "Adios".

That DiMarco was Phil's boat (D21 Enterprises and DiMarco 21 on the interweb). He had it for many years. I don't know if he built it, or if it was like that when he bought it.

1975 Century Arabian

The local boat dealer in Austin used to sell Century's so they were real common and quite a few folks would race them. My uncle's with a 330 crusader MIGHT get up to 45mph. In the late 80's his engine froze so he dropped in a 425 horse 454 and with all those high aspirations it got a little over 50 mph.

… This is the first Blevins…all wood…registered as a 1949… former owner swears it was a 1949…
… turns out it’s not a nailhead Buick …it’s a 53 or 54 Cadillac with dual quads… I suppose it could be a ‘49 Cadillac motor… As that the first year of overhead valves…

…it also had a clutch ..:there was an old Volkswagen emergency brake handle with the button at the top …push the button pull the lever and it would disengage the clutch…

…he also just told me that every time you pulled the boat out of the water put it back on the trailer you would have to pick up a handful of screws that were inside of the boat… he said the boat was virtually unscrewing itself…

… The funny part of the story is the two guys that owned it… Had to finance it …it was a $2000 boat… Not sure what happened but it got repossessed in 1967 or 68…lol…

How about your typical 98 mph View attachment 1089709 family ski boat?

Testing more props today. Should hit the century mark soon.
That's the 21' Crossfire yes ? Nothing special or special build ? That looks like a real kick in the ass outboard powered lake boat, that'll handle it fine if the wind kicks up.

what year would you guess those pics were taken?
… Probably 1967… I’m going to call the guy that owned it because that’s impossible that it’s a DiMarco… Looks like a Blevins

… That was my girlfriend hanging onto the bow of the boat…

… Reread my original post it will explain a lot more

Those pictures look like Polynesian Shores 1 right next to our spot as that blue boat next to it in the dock is still owned by Bill Cahoots one of my neighbors...crazy small world...

… you are correct definitely the Polynesian…

… I could be wrong but this could be the guy that ran the Polynesian in the mid to late 60s… I can’t remember his name???…
… I found out his name may have been Carl he was one of the bartenders not the manager…
