That is the “AfterShock” the boat built to replace the Shockwave that we did.
Here it is at Lake Ming with Dennis Polloccia in the seat. View attachment 1297395
Black and white photo shows how the names were put on on our boat originally.
Restored boat is a carbon copy.

Dennis and Gary used to hang around my dads shop when they were racing Go-Karts at Trojan Speedway about '68 Dennis' father worked with Ted Phillips and Ray Games as tile setters way back when. I would imagine between my dad and Ted is where Dennis and Gary realized their need for speed.

She always liked the big boy!😂
Fun Gal!
That was Lake Irvine a looong time ago.
Don’t forget Harlan Orrin in the orange jacket!
I noticed him but did not recognize him. I was too busy checking out Brenda. I just figured the guy in the cowboy hat was part of the Brea Police Posse. :)

Not the same boat but I do remember the Dragon Fly racing in San Diego.
It possible the A 102 boat was owned by Doc Roach also out of San Diego.
When I was running 2.5 litre hydros in 1983 there was a “Dragon Fly” style boat running then.

The dragonfly that I remember from the 70’s was a force to recon with. 👍

Used to be a 70 plus mph boat and it will be again!
1972 Biesemeyer Longdeck(ski deck).
Boat was originally green and has been brought back to its original color.
Not a Cold Fire but same color.
Was told a lot of the early boats were this color because Julian had a bunch of green Gelcost.
I’ll be restoring it with all original hardware except for all new aluminum parts.
We are going for the look of the original Cold Fire but not a clone.
The coolest piece so far is this early 70’s Moon Stsck tank.
Our ol buddy JJ Beaver had it and it is identical to the one Julian ran in the early years(they boxed it in when they put the blown motor in later).
The boat will have a stack injected big block Chevy fior power.
Gonna be a cool project when we get going on it!

Some shots of the tank and a couple of the Cold Fire with the same design tank.

Have a set of these if you need some.
Hey JJ!
Yup, the Enderle’s would be proper for a clone build but the owner has a set of long tube Hilborn’s👍
I’ll be reaching out to you for a whirl-away soon!

I’m going to guess that hippie looking girl in the blue jacket is the owner of Crazy Horse….. Marlene Kaiser?

Hondo Factory AfterShock BFH. This is 2 boats after the one we restored. Note pickle fork and raised rear deck.
Pretty cool how it was rigged to pivot the block to hone and change pistons.
Dan Olson, the engine builder with checkered Pendleton on at truck tailgate.

Left to right, as Westair said, Marlene Kaiser in the blue jacket. Her and husband Pete owned the Crazy Horse.
Standing, John Annin O/D of the Whisker Biscuit UFF. He also was the designer and manufactured the JDA drains that we still use today!
Then Bush and Bob Morgan O/D of the Morgan’s Raider BFF.
He was a Hondo dealer in Kansas and bought the Panic Mouse that we did from Hondo after they gave Caselli a new hull.
I talked to him to verify the history of the boat. Sadly shortly after I talked to him he was killed in an offshore boat he was racing in Florida.
