I don't see a lot of Stokers in the Catalina Race.. Why is that I wonder?

RD

X2 was thinking the same thing. Stroker guys and Rayson Craft guys are always trying so hard to defending their boats and their shortcomings. Bunch of haters I think.

All I know. Is that when a stoker and a Schiada are tied up at foxes. No body is standing over the stoker looking at it.

I have been there numerous times when Becker's and the yellow stoker were there with people were standing there looking at it. Its not hard to get a drunk at a bar to look at something shiney floating in the water.

The sun shines on a dogs ass every once in a while...... how many stokers finish in the top 10 every year? now lets ask the same thing for Shitadas :D

And you are in 100% agreeance with the race standings of the enduro while under the RPM umbrella?? Because I know a MAJOR problem with the racers and the previous people running, was that there never was a true KNOWN winner ;)

How many Schiadas were in the 2014 ski race? lets even go back to 2013. and you guys can count the behemoth 42' and even 32's if you want.

There was a 27' Rayson Craft. 4-5 Hallett 210's. Even a stubby nose Hallett. Yet none of them baddest rough water boats.

You didn't answer the question. How many ran in csr the last two years? I mean if they truly are gods gift to rough water boating. ;)

I never once said a stoker is good for ski racing. But then again I wasn't the one who brought up Schiadas amazing rough water abilities and their dominance in the CSR. Could it be technology and hill design has surpassed the old ass tired schiada hull design? ;) now if we were in 1984 and talking cSR. Then you would have a point.

I was drinking so maybe I missed all the Schiadas dominating at the finish line the last couple years. ;)

Keep sucking that lemon sourpuss!

And why Billdo I ask... Would a Stoker guy need to take a page from the Schiada guys to upgrade his boat? :D

Because the schiada guys are well versed in how to completely redo a boat. Every time someone buys one they realize it's such a hunk of shit they have to redo the whole thing.......us stoker guys just don't have that experience ;)

Let's be honest it's basically the same 6 schiada owners tied up at foxes all the time looking at there own boats...lol

It's rare for a stoker to be tied up there for two reasons.

1 there isn't any room because Schiada owners tie up and start drinking early

2 the stokers are out running hard in the rough water

None except for the big ones. If you notice the number of entries of the CSR have been declining every year. I would have run mine but couldn't find a skier. Pull the rope off the back of the boats (Schiada/Stoker)and race to Catalina and back...I think we all know who will be back first.

I I wouldn't advise someone who has little to no seat time to jump in and try just go haul ass. But that is really with any boat out there. The 20 footers are a blast to drive and if not careful can be a handful.

I've never even got a ride a mod-v, but have always loved the style, and watching them hook turns like they're on rails [emoji106]

The 20 footers are like driving a go cart. To me they are one of the funnest boats to drive. You definitely don't want to drive one in choppy or "big "water. I'm guessing when people say how rough ride being stokers are in choppy water their experience must be based on writing a 20 footer. Anyone who's been in the 2 to 4 with me always walks away amazed how well the boat rides and handles.

That really is what the do best. No boat on the water turns like one of Al's boats.

But with that being said...

It takes HOURS of seat time to learn how to drive one properly. You need to hook up with someone that has one, that can teach you the ropes on it. You will not figure it out on your own.

Years ago there was a guy with a blue and white one that was always hauling ass on the river. Watching him drive, i knew one day, he was gonna eat shit in that boat. And sure enough, I was on the shore and saw him flying his boat through the air. I ran down to the water to see him up on the rocks with a big hole in the side of his boat. Needless to say, I never saw that boat again.

Buy one if you have a line on one, but be sure to have someone that knows Stokers teach you how to drive it right. You will not be disappointed.

I don't know shit about either one but based on looks I'd take the Stoker all day long.

Carry on... Whoever bumped this thread is a genius. I forgot how great it was :D

LOL. Take a minute to breathe while gargling on Al's nuts.... As far as not figuring it out on your own, bullshit. It can be done, you just need to check your ego at the launch ramp and get some seat time....

I don't know the first thing about these, but according to the hardware listed in your buddy's add, I would guess the thing does just fine [emoji106]

It runs high 80's for sure. It's a fun boat, family grew so he's looking to upgrade to something bigger. [emoji106]

You kids are funny. Truth be told, I've never seen either of you running a race, but I've watched Al run in plenty. Or did you drive by so fast, I missed you?

If you two clowns think for one second, you could keep up with Al in one of his boats, you guys have not only vivid imaginations, but egos that that are way beyond the physical size of your heads! LoL

Give me a call when you're sitting in Any race boat at any race. I'll do a nice write up on it! [emoji106]

Your missing the point completely. My fault maybe?

One...

You take any Stoker. You drive as fast as you can, and Al Stoker will drive it right after you're done. His lap times will be faster than you every time.

Two...

RD and Hammer seem to think they can drive any boat as fast as anyone else out there.

IMHO, they need to quit gagging on each other's dicks! LoL!

First off.... I never claimed I could outdrive Al in a Stoker. Second, I sure hope Al outdrives me in a Stoker, after all he designed the damn thing! Lol.

I do stand by my statement that with enough seat time I could drive a Stoker "properly" (as you put it) on my own....

Who brought Al into the conversation. Anyways? We are talking boats not drivers..

Would now be the appropriate time to point out that the Sleek Mod-VP's are better and faster boats than the Stokers?

Oh c'mon Linder most of it is just jokes.. That being said though there's no way a Stoker is going to run in BIG water, especially if it's a washing machine. You can run a 21 RC through just about anything with no Drama.

RD

A non sarcastic question : Does the stern drive or Out Board 21 RC handle the rough water as well as a Vdrive does ?

You claimed that nobody could drive a Stoker "properly" without being taught. I said you were wrong.... And you are.

They sound like really nice boats, as long as your Al Stoker. Sounds like any of us mortals wouldn't wouldn't be able to compensate for the ill handling issues and drive one properly. Makes me really wish I owned one. [emoji106]
