Probably today.. is what it was inferring.

RD

Really Dave?

Exactly how long DO you think it takes powder coating to be sprayed and dried?

That's after everything is welded together and checked for defects.

They DO have quality control in place, right?

C'mon man! 🤣

In a production environment? It’s measured on how fast the units come off the line?

I do know Chase Carr (2nd place) in 2900 class is in a Pro R. Does the Mav R and Pro R only race in 2900 class?

I don’t know SNORE class rules and was wondering the same thing. Someone here will know it.
Mav R races in the turbo class or it can be raced in the unlimited class with the Pro R. That is why you see some Can Ams in the 2900 with the Pro R and some in the turbo class.

Honestly, who really knows.

I would guess the can assemble multiple frames a day, easily?

But the powder coating, per frame, is gonna take easily a day or two to completely cure.

How many of those can they spray and bake, in one day?

When you seriously think about everything involved, maybe one business week, per car?

The question is how many cars, can they have in production, at any given time?

Basically, it's a misleading clip at best, so that's why people are laughing about it.

Well I’m not a powder coat expert but I’d suspect your numbers are WAAAYYY OFF in a production environment.. spray / oven cured maybe an hour or two? (At max? I’d bet it’s even less with static paint / powder?). Meaning they charge the frame either negative or positive and the powder opposite so it sticks and goes into crevices?

I watched zeiman paint a whole trailer (not powder) in like 25 - 30 minutes once.. then it went to a curing room.. I don’t see why powder would be any different before going into an auto clave or some kinda oven for a bit?

Figure in production they probably already have shit at predetermined temps when spraying before the oven for faster cure times?

It's silly to argue about.

Point is, it's another misleading vid to (try) and keep people on the edge of their seat.

Lemme know when he fills all his existing orders. 🙄

It’s silly to argue something that you just said takes days could be done in like a hour?

I think it’s silly to post something like that.. lol. The fact they are making cars faster means they are getting ever closer to doing just that.. the fact they have made several generational improvements during the process is good for the current slot holders?

You might be in a retirement home when that happens. It’s coming up on 2 years since cars were first delivered and they are barely at 1000 cars

I can tell you that inland powder coating does production powder coating and can handle a larger volume vs your typical job shop powder coater.

I've been looking for a low # El Jefe to take over and most rez holders are screaming "Class Action!!, BURN Speed, FUCK Robby!!" and 10 min later posting a FB Market ad praising Speed and what a deal their spot would be to the next guy (at a profit)... 😂

If we really want to light a match on this powder keg..

Me twisting my evil mustache.. in knowing that some some want out and are willing to sell at original cost is it worth dipping the toe back in and swooping on some spots to resell for more down the road on a hedge bet that they come through? Is it worth waiting and negotiating harder and letting the minions on the internet continue to try and hurt resale even though 99% of them have zero financial interests?

Hhhhmmmmm.. I did pretty well first round? lol

The Anaheim location always has a ton outside....not sure if they are the same ones sitting or new ones just passing through though...

They had a ton.. then they were all gone.. then there was another ton then they were all gone..

I believe this the third set since their open house. Nobody talks about that though.

My spot #2277 has been for sale at my cost. I'll even entertain offers

The trick to that game is to try and find spots and the initial price offerings before the prices went up.. then hedge the bet that the tides turn (which they are as more people get them to put weigh the haters). Then sell to someone that is an rg fan for a small margin over retail to get one sooner..

This number is a ways out and the price increases already happened. It would be difficult to flip because of the timelines and the price increases.

I’d have to look up mine but I think I paid 31-32 for the rg el jefe and all the accessories were 20-25% cheaper.

Most the numbers I had I was able to sell to people that wanted earlier spots for the retail price after they increased. I only ended up with one extra and was able to break even on it.

My speed was essentially free though after doing six of them.

If I remember right the price difference only went up on the car but not the accessories the first time (its been a while). Car was on tier 2 of pricing and I think its now like 4? The difference could easily be negotiated through the accessory ("to me") price

What’s the current ETA on your car?

It's anyones guess tbh. Last year if you asked me the ETA would be right now but then deliveries slowed to a crawl

The cars do seem to be getting better every batch of releases and with this number it will be built after the new clutching updates

Just letting the dice roll at this point and we'll see what happens

This has become a joke.
How many folks were told they needed to pay for accessories apx 2 years ago and are still waiting for cars.

People are all up on boat manufacturers taking money and not delivered product. Same applies to this shit.

There are quite a few speeds for sale on FB marketplace cheap with less than 500 miles on them. Why buy someone's future spot when you can have a car today for the same or less money.
